03-05-08 – Pictures at an Exhibition

I went with more of a sarcastic anti-tribute to the modern art scene. It appears that nobody liked my 2008-03-06 12:04:36 AM “homage” to Malevich’s Black Square.

See, I thought you had just left the lens cap on 😛

Actually, no. I took several shots of near perfect blackness using black objects around my apartment before I found a subject that would give me total blackness without resorting to just covering the lens (my camera model doesn’t have a lens cap). That shot was taken in good lighting conditions, with standard camera settings, using the speaker covering on my computer speaker as a subject.

I know, far too much work for very simple results, but that’s modern art for ya…
