U-Man, About those hibiscus’s…. You’d think after a year in Hawaii, I’d have a shot or two of a hibiscus in a pretty girl’s hair to drop this week. Not so much. 🙁 Oh, well.

I’ve been waiting a long time to break out that lens for a contest. Now I just have to hope enough people can get past the mind-block of focusing close while angling far with their eyes. I knew this week would have a lot of goodness, and that was one way to stand out a bit.

I got flower1.jpg and flower2.jpg for you, but flower5.jpg keeps giving a 404 not found error. 🙁

How’d you get that “glow” in the center of the first one? Just playing with exposures?
No, the flower actually looks a lot like that. I may have over-saturated a bit now that I am seeing it on a newer higher quality monitor. But the angle of the sun and flower allowed it to be lit along the bottom so the glow is probably from that. I should have linked the Full size.
