Thought I’d throw in links for the 3 I wanted to put in:

the rule is just that they have to be different photographs. it’s up to you to decide if you want to submit shots that are very similar to other shots. those are cute!

I’d say they’re different enough.
July 2, 2009 at 2:04 am #23230olavfParticipantWhat would define a different composition? I set up my lego scene, and tried to use different views. Some focus on the villagers with a bit of the dragon, some are zoomed out and show both dragons I made. I also took on two different days so there are differences (however small) also in the placement of some things. I was thinking of putting one up each with the views I described above (lego villagers and then more on the dragons). I also have a light one I did with letters and shadows, but Hubby doesn’t think it should be put in. He wanted me to ask in case it would disqualify me or something. Thanks.
Mine are three different shots in a storyboard motif, FWIW. I was having too much fun playing with the kids’ toys in the back yard…

And great job to everyone so far. I’m so going to share this thread with Pangolyn‘s mom and sisters.

That all sounds fine. Different angles or different focus or different lighting would all result in a different composition.

Thanks, I’m glad you like it. Actually it’s a piece of jewelry I purchased at an art fair. It’s a one of a kind and has become a favorite of mine because it is so different.

The pair on the hookah seem pretty glass to me…

July 2, 2009 at 5:18 am #23240clouddancerParticipantI see so many REALLY cool pictures tonight (or maybe I’m easily impressed). In any case, from what I’ve seen I like it a LOT. I gave lots of votes (though not for my own, I’d like them to stand by themselves) because I really liked what I saw. I will make sure I’m back to it throughout the week or so to vote for new ones I see.
July 2, 2009 at 5:30 am #23241bugdogParticipantI just threw together a crappy little table top studio to shoot a very expensive dragon statue. I used some dog pee pads that I just bought (as yet unused, I swear) as my backdrop. It looked a lot better with those as the background than it did with the toaster, blender and knife block.
Of course, my tripod is no where to be found (I suspect it’s in my husband’s car) and my eyes have been fuzzy most of the evening, so I hope my entries are in focus.
Here’s a few I didn’t enter:
