ParticipantI was thinking the stopped one might make it a little more interesting, but the longer I look at it the more I agree it would work better cropped.
I think if it had been in the middle of the row it would have worked better as a point of interest, but on the end, that doesn’t work as well.

Participantwell I went by the salvation army thrift store today looking for fisher price characters, but no luck. I guess the scenes from Southeast Alaska’s squid ranching and moss farming world will have to wait for another day.

ParticipantAny thoughts on mine?
I like both shots, but I’m a sucker for B&W and weird lighting… The first one seems more aligned with the farm theme to me. So I’d pick that one unless you want to post both. I don’t get much of a “farm” vibe off the second one though since I don’t think of farms as having their own train tracks.

ParticipantI’m thinking of going back to the darkroom and reprinting the first with brown tone, what do you think of that idea?
Something like this(QD Photobucket Edit)

I like the browner version much better. Looks more ole timey than just straight B&W
Your second pic don’t have a farm vibe to me either. Train tracks kill it.

Participantwhat if the dairy is not actually IN the picture, but I and my subject are indeed on the dairy grounds…?

Its the same fence as in this picture, which actually includes the dairy…and some eyesore pickup truck.
