…and it’s about time, too. Sorry I missed it.

oooooohhhhhhh…… you lucky bastard! Nice catch, man. /me applauds/
I can’t catch a rainbow to save my life it seems.

A circular polarizer really helps with enhancing rainbow colors.

    Yesterday was interesting, too:

I use an Arduino-based lightning detector to shoot these – it measures ambient infrared and triggers my shutter at any spike in IR.

I need better toys. Nice shot.

We need a good thunderstorm up in CT.

That last one looks awesome, caradoc! I also want to echo what Kestrana said.

Ive probably missed saying this on a lot of your storm photos, but I love seeing them.

I totally love these lightning pictures. We hardly ever get thunder storms around here.

Keep watching, then – we’re expecting another spate of storms later this week… and I’ll probably be better prepared for them.

I’m not sure why, but I really like this one.

I absolutely agree, and I know why (for me): contrast, contrast, contrast. The salted sandstone is phenominal against the darker ground. Plus, you’ve got the silhouette thing going. The deep blue peeking out from within the clouds, the mountains fading into the mist back deep–most excellent shot! Did ya happen to bracket with other f/stops? This would be HDR spectacular, if so (but it’s very breathtaking, as is.)
