Participantdebug, I think like the gas pump one better than the flowers. I’d like to see both of them in larger size though.
I’ll see if I can get some higher res, larger images up when I get home today. I posted those from work yesterday and all I had access to was what was on my facebook page. The gas pump looks better in sepia, in my opinion.

ParticipantHere’s how high tech the government is with their press passes (as of 1995, anyway. I only kept my very first ones)…

I was working for a commercial photographer in Virginia at the time, so I really didn’t have to “do” anything to get it other then be assigned to the press conference by my boss. Of course there is the background check etc to get through, but you don’t physically do anything to get it. I’d post some of my images but they are all on slide film since that was the best medium to go to press with back before digital. I have some shots of Senator Kerry from 95 before anyone knew who he was.

ParticipantIf I’m shooting with film and it’s a subject that I am comfortable with 1-2 frames. Something less comfortable 3-5 frames.
If I’m shooting digital, I’ll go till I like what I see on the LCD and then take 2 more.
It’s not that I don’t like using a lot of film, I just feel that when I use film, I am doing “real” photography and I think about the image a lot more (composition, viewing from multiple angles etc) before I make an exposure. My 1-2 frames on film will probably take longer for me to shoot then 15-20 on digital

ParticipantI use Scan Cafe. It’s about 37 cents per slide at pro resolutions of 4000dpi
