ParticipantI’m afraid I may not have much for this excepting some statues; I’ll have to archive around and see what I can come up with.

Participanthey, Orionid, stop hogging all the top spots! 🙂

ParticipantYep. I mentioned that back when I first noticed it. Not only does the same image posted in different threads get a unique URL, I think the URL for a given image also periodically changes.
It also breaks the pop-to-original/larger-image feature on Bibliostats. Clicking on images now takes you to a Fark 403 page.
I’ve decided I don’t like this change. 🙁

ParticipantHere’s one from yesterday with the sun; it was just past high-noon (astro-noon, that is), so the ISS was as big as it can be. I’m also not entirely happy with the focus; but it wasn’t the focus, it was the atmosphere in this case.

ParticipantI wish they had upgraded the sensor on the 5Ti. I’m not waiting around for 6.
ravnostic
ParticipantI did get it, but it’s not very sharp (my bad). It’s in this week’s contest anyway.

ParticipantNope. Saving up for the “very-low” rated at ISO 6400 6D myself. Only 3.5 weeks to go….
What takes me 2 minutes will take me 15 seconds. Far fewer chances for the gnats to fart during the exposure. Honestly, for a casual shooter, who’d pay for such a thing? But for astrophotography…it will take me to another level.
Only 2 overtime shifts left to work. Then waiting for the paycheck. It’s Killing. Me.

ParticipantThis is phuqing awesome. Wowza. Cannot wait to have photon wells that will allow for this kind of photography! Well done, Sir! (now I have to live up to your new standards….damn…)
ravnostic
ParticipantWhoo-hoo! It’s been a while, nice to get one! Thanks everyone for the votes!
ravnostic
ParticipantYay! Have fun! I’m a month or so away from a Cnaon 6D myself and I cannot wait!!
ravnostic
ParticipantYoyo or Yugo?

ParticipantThe T4i uses the same sensor as the 3 and 2, so if it’s cheaper to rent either of those, go for it. Same goes for the 5. I really wish they’d upgrade that sensor, preferably before I shell out the 2 grand for the 6D :o)

ParticipantYou got bumped off NBC? Those rat-bass turds. I’ll bet you feel like Malcolm Jamal Warner.
You’re still the ‘Cosby’ kid we’re all admiring. And Google search sez you’re famouz. So there.

ParticipantThis is phuqing awesome! So full of win, I’ll be surprised if they don’t show up in some future contest. Congrats!!

ParticipantNot my contest, also, but I think that picture is described right in the theme, Predle.
ennui; that’s taken with my 2Ti and f/1.4 50mm, coupled with the antique Darlot Lens I’ve discussed before, making a very effective macro lens. Thanks! F/14 for what little DOF there is (on a macro scale, quite a bit really), 1/200th second exposure ISO 400 (you can see in the reflection there were small poofy clouds; as they moved, the shutter varied on aperture priority.)
