The ones that are posted by me (Ray) are taken with an iPhone and the ones by my buddy (Casey) are taken with a T-Mobile MDA.
The iPhone is a 2 megapixel and the MDA is a 1.3 I believe.
November 29, 2007 at 12:51 pm #14200Saldo1981ParticipantThanks Curious. This is more of a “good” photo of her. I think that the picture you picked out was the one that everyone is. If she wanted a portrait type photo I would have told her to go pay someone as I’m horrible at them and hate taking them. I’m more into candid type photos and motorsports or anything automotive. I try to be artsy and creative but I get upset when I can’t snap the photo of something the way I’m picturing it in my head. My favorite photo recently is but I forgot to check my settings and the ISO was at 1600 so I got some grain in the photo.
September 11, 2007 at 2:12 pm #13517Saldo1981ParticipantThat was hard for her to hold since we were shooting in low light. Oh well maybe one day I’ll get a decent light kit so I don’t have to use a desklamp clipped to the edge of the kitchen table.
September 11, 2007 at 1:49 am #13518Saldo1981ParticipantThat is just cool and creepy. I will never take a picture like that because I won’t get close enough to something like that!
September 11, 2007 at 1:46 am #13515Saldo1981ParticipantNope those are from my Photo Blog
September 10, 2007 at 11:43 pm #13513Saldo1981ParticipantWell then puppy picture it is (but if you do have comments on the originals I wouldn’t mind)
She’s only got 3 legs!
September 10, 2007 at 8:14 pm #13511Saldo1981ParticipantHmmm.. No comments, suggestions? I guess I could have asked but I figured I’d get some. This is also my first attempt at photographing just the face on purpose.
September 5, 2007 at 10:55 am #13353Saldo1981ParticipantThe D50 has a 1.5 crop, the original file size is around 2mb (3008×2000) on the highest jpeg setting. I could shoot in raw and I usually do but my roommate was using my camera and I forgot to set it back.
September 5, 2007 at 2:08 am #13351Saldo1981ParticipantI should invest in a monopod. The hummingbird was taken in my front yard, well it’s actually a garden that’s approaching a jungle so I wouldn’t have to worry about taking it with me. I uploaded the shots that I took, bad ones and all from today at http://picasaweb.google.com/rsoldano They are the same compression since it all goes through picasa. Gotta love google for making it easy to do everything.
September 5, 2007 at 12:19 am #13349Saldo1981ParticipantTo be honest I couldn’t get a nice sharp picture. Must save up for a Vibration Reduction lens, yea I need one, why oh why did I buy a motorcycle? I’m sure uploading it via picasa did something to it too but it makes it so easy to post and write. Oh so I can stop pretty much anywhere to take a photograph. It’s always something.
Incase you didn’t realize you can click on the picture for a larger version that isn’t too far off the original.
August 25, 2007 at 1:48 pm #13233Saldo1981ParticipantIt’s like AIM, MSN, yahoo messenger but better. You can even get up to 5 (I think) in a conference call which means no typing!
June 7, 2007 at 7:54 pm #11539Saldo1981ParticipantThose are some nice photos. Makes me want to head back down to Atlanta and get some better skyline shots.
Yay for flickr and it’s RSS feeds. Another one added to my screensaver. It even puts the name of the photographer (or whatever you use for your screenname) so I know who to go look at when I start seeing new pictures!
June 6, 2007 at 4:42 am #11492Saldo1981ParticipantThe rabbit ears are for Over the air HD signal. You would be suprised how many extra “free” channels there are. Like channel 3 or whatever local station you have. They also have a 3.1 and a 3.2. 3 is standard def 3.1 is hi-def 3.2 is their all weather all the time. I also have cable hooked up through my TiVo but I don’t have HD cable so I figured it’s mainly a computer monitor so why pay the extra for the HD right now. As soon as I get a 50 inch for the livingroom (will have to wait since I spent the last of my fun money on a motorcycle) I will have to upgrade to HD cable.
June 6, 2007 at 2:52 am #11490Saldo1981ParticipantBest buy didn’t use the slogan “turn on the fun” for nothing 🙂 Just think the better picture will only help you make those pictures look that much better when you have them printed out. Of course it isn’t too much help for the farktography contests since you can’t edit too much.
June 6, 2007 at 12:44 am #11488Saldo1981ParticipantWell that’s how it works when you just gotta have that 27″ HDTV in your bedroom and you already have a 17″ monitor. I work to pay the bills I work extra to buy toys. But I did get the 27″ on open box special at best buy.
It does grab the large file. I’ve also set it to pan & scan so it moves slowly too.
Attached a picture of the set up. TiVo, TV, computer w/dual monitors. Everyone has a weak spot mine is electronics and vehicles.
The dual monitors really makes editing easier as I can have all my tools on one screen and the picture full screen on the other. Plus the color on the 27″ is unreal. Now to borrow that monitor profiler so I can set up color profiles for the printers at the local print shop (large prints) and wolf camera (up to 8×10).
