This last one has a story. To get this pic, I placed the Mk II 5D with 16-35L on a sweatshirt on the steps in front of the arch. The lens was just sneaking a peek over a step. To include the whole arch, I needed to point the camera pretty steeply up. Set timer, press shutter release, run up to family. Well, on the way back down after the 3rd or 4th shot, the sweatshirt started to settle a bit. This caused the camera to sink. Which caused it to point up even more. Which caused it to get ‘top heavy’. From two steps up, I saw the camera very slowly start to tip over on it’s way to rolling down a flight of concrete steps. I got there in time to stop it — but I didn’t do any more of those pics. 🙂
