Well, by that point, it will have been voted on, so that’d be changing a photo after it has votes….not really kosher at that point.

I’m noticing several images are showing up skewed for some reason; one was mine (I reloaded the laser shot on my website and it seems to fix it–same file, but now it shows correctly); Orionid’s NSFW image (the post shot, not the ‘real’ image) is another, one of U-man’s shots as well, Mopsy’s frog–anyone else seeing this or is it just me?

For the life of me, I still cannot figure out how my image of a plastic dinosaur with missiles glued to it is in the lead.

Most of the stuff came from my scrap part drawers, while the armor and structure are made from sheet styrene and styrene forms. The Gatling guns and hydraulic cylinders are made of brass tubing. And yes, some controlled substances may have been involved.

I liked all of the cameraflage b-sides, but think the one in the contest is the bestest. Except…that last tongulashing…that’s just plain *hawt*, even if it’s wrong, and with no disrespect to orionid’s NSFW post (which is also in my archives, for later viewing pleasure), I’d love to be a camera on some belly lint.

Oh, wait.

Did I write that out loud?

I meant to use my quite writing voice…

I know. I think I agree. It’s just that the candy one was a pain in the butt to get. I tried 4 different times. 1st the candy was on the ground and way out of focus due to DoF. 2nd and 3rd tries involved putting a bunch of encyclopedias on the floor with a place for my head (in order to raise up the candy). My 12 year old did the candy placement and effed it up both times with obvious holes. It was frustrating because I couldn’t preview the images. Mrs U-Man did set up for the 4th try. The DoF is still too shallow.

It was one of those times where my choice was based on what went into the photo rather than what came out of it. Y’know?

I am fascinated by off-camera flash. It is a pretty big topic. The http://www.strobist.blogspot.com/ site is pretty cool.
