Not unless you took them yourself 😉
I asked for a copy of the mug shots, but they said no. Guess I’ll have to wait for them to show up on the smoking gun. I knew I should have worn my “I love midget porn” tee shirt.

Welcome aboard. Like your view of the bridge. That looks like it would be an interesting angle at night.

Mine never showed up. It’s been six years now, so I’m not really holding out. I was in my dress blue (cracker jack) uniform, too.

I do have mine; and I discovered that after a night spent in jail, with a picture taken from a high angle at 7am after being awake for 24 hours, everyone looks like a three-named serial killer. This copy was attached to my personal effects ‘package’. Once wrote a very funny blog about the experience. Night of my 20th H.S. reunion, 2006) (the charges, incidently, were dropped).

So yeah, that photo in the lead? I figured that would do the least well of all of them and it almost didn’t get used. It’s also, IIRC, a semi-blatant rip-off of a photo that U-Man posted maybe a year or two back. :/

Im pretty certain they run on booze.

My theory is that, after viewing the photo immediately before it, they were thinking:”Well this is a lot better than that last one!” 😆
Mopsy, can I ask what’s the story with that one of (I’m assuming) Niagara Falls? It looks like maybe a film or slidefilm image? Anything you can tell me about it, I’d love to know.

That was from waaaaay back for the ‘Pinhole camera’ theme.
http://photos.imageevent.com/ulle17/fark/Pinhole-Tower_5016.jpgAnd it’s not really a rip-off. I mean there’s only so much you can do with those towers. 🙂 How did you get the softness in your pic?

I’m only stopping in to confirm the location guess. I live about and hour and a half from there and use that bridge about 95% of the time we go in to Canada, and about 70% of the time we leave.
I can’t say anything about the technicals, but it probably was taken from one of the ubiquitous helicopters that one can rent a ride in. They’re so ubiquitous that a few years ago, a couple crashed into each other, and the rules have since tightened up to try to prevent a repeat.

Fair ’nuff. And f/3.5 on a lens that doesn’t get sharp until 5.6 or so, and it was really foggy that day. No, foggier than that.

Yes, it is Niagara Falls. The picture was taken through the window of a helicopter with a point and shoot. I debated about using it because the quality is not great, but decided it fit the theme well. Thanks for asking.

I answered orionid’s question before I read your comments. Glad I did not know about the crash before taking the ride, because it was a great view. My one grandson was terrified about going up and without thinking I made the comment, “You know if the engine goes out, you drop like a rock.” That was after we had paid the ridiculously high price for a ticket. Everyone thanked me for that information, but we went up anyway and had a great time.
October 16, 2011 at 5:45 pm #41091CauseISaidSoParticipantCongrats to orionid for the individual win and to ravnostic for the combined win. Lotsa great stuff all around this week again. The Weekly Reports thread has been updated with the latest stats.

I foolishly thought I had the secret figured out for a very brief while. At the time, the key to success for me seemed to be to put as little effort into choosing my entries as possible. Needless to say, that didn’t last long.
Someone should submit a grant to study the voting habits of farkers in their native habitats. I think that’s the only way we’ll ever gain any insight into the process. 😉
