ParticipantIt’s going to take me a week to figure out what to post for this. I have at least 10 different outings to choose from and the weekend is coming so there’s sure to be at least one outing. This is a good problem to have, I suppose. On the other hand, I’m screwed when “The Song Remains the Same” rolls around.
I just picked a trip with over 400 photos, and went with it. I love the shots I’ve picked, and for once, don’t really care how I do in the contest as I’m sure I’ll get at least a few ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’, but probably won’t have the winning entry. There’s too much stellar competition amongst the group.
I, too am farked for Song unless I’m misunderstanding something (I’ll post that question in that forum).

ParticipantOh man, I just need to pick a day… an average day? An awesome day? There are so many!!! I’m LOST.

ParticipantAny day. Just all three shots from the same outing/day.
Ironically, today’s trip was a total bust for me. We went to the local fish hatchery to watch the salmon run the ladder, but between the fish, and the people, and the lighting, I got one decent shot out of the mix. I’m much happier with the shots I took later this afternoon, which I’m going to save for Autumn. I think I got enough that are usable from last weekend thankfully.

Participantinspiration isn’t coming to me and i probably will have to archive dive for this one.

Participantnoob question here, so ridicule all you want. wouldn’t shooting a wedding count? first thing i thought of.
because, quite honestly, i’m not much for posting many shots to my flickr, so even if i take 300 shots from the same day, i may post just 1. (and i’m normally 4-6 wks behind dumping from the camera and post-processing.)November 9, 2010 at 12:37 am #33849CauseISaidSo

The theme originator (olavf in this case) usually makes those kinda clarification calls, but I’d say that as long as your subjects are cool with being posted on the internet that a wedding would have to count – it’s a day in your life and they’re all three from the same outing, right?
Oh, and we (generally) don’t do a lot of ridiculing here – a friendly competitive jibe every now and then is about as “bad” as it gets.

ParticipantThis will defiinately be an archive dive for me, but I have a good selection of photos to choose from. Between work, school and family obligations I have not been able ‘safari’ as much as I’d like to in recent weeks.

ParticipantI hear you Pope. I’ve been out a few times, but Kat talked me into getting around to setting up a retail print site a few months ago, and that’s eaten up most of my free time. So I haven’t been spending nearly as much time with my photography as I should be. Maybe now that’s in beta and I’m waiting for the legal side to catch up I can get back into the swing of things.
I’ve a few trips from the last month or so, though.

Participanthave three from a recent trip to the coast but they are sort of snapshot like. haven’t been able to get any news ones.

ParticipantWell, after a 3-week hiatus due to being too busy to take/post pics, I think tomorrow I should be able to put something up.
I was able to get a few interesting shots on a trip on Nov 3rd to this esoteric Shinto festival near the wife’s family home.
Go me!November 10, 2010 at 1:53 pm #33855orionid
ParticipantMy trouble is picking which trip to use. I’ve got a lot where it would be two good and one crap-tastic shot, or ones where I’ve already used the best shots, and most recently, one where I want to hang on to a shot for a hoppered but unscheduled theme. I knew I should have clicked the button twice.

ParticipantAt least twice. Some shots I take 7-10 of, all slightly different. I haven’t been around long enough for recycling to be an issue other then by dumb mistake (tally=1).
My entries all came from my recent Mormon Lake trip. I wasn’t kidding when I said I got 3-4 contests out of that one. Which reminds me I gotta stitch that volcanic ridge…

ParticipantWhile my pics are not exciting, they are of a wonderful time this past weekend when our family came together in Chicago to see the Lion King. What a fabulous musical! Too bad my pics aren’t as fabulous, but they are what they are.

ParticipantCan I get a late ruling on if this is NSFW? I think it’s right out… but I have to ask.
