ParticipantI aim to satisfy expectations, always.
//does the one in the center do the same?
No idea. Stray Cat Theatre is running the show from March 25th through April 9th in Tempe – so you can go see the show if you like.
I’m told it’ll be a wet stage, as part of the storyline involves flooding.

That’s pretty much the reaction I was expecting from you, Rav.

ParticipantAnd my new D7000 turns in an epic performance shooting Stray Cat Theatre‘s promotional images for Steve Yockey’s Octopus:

ParticipantNo, my wife did the knitting.
My own knitting is limited to 14-ga and 16-ga wire, bent into rings… like this.

ParticipantThis summer, I simply must find the time to meet up with you. Might I suggest a trip toward Tucson? Near Plamadude?
It’s doable – with coordination.
I’ve ended up down near Oracle more than once in the past two years as the weather tracks keep shifting further away from the Phoenix area.
However… I may not be able to go that far this summer as we’re due in May.

ParticipantThere may be something to be said for posting only in threads you have something for, rather than setting a goal of neccessarily posting 3 images to keep the stats looking OK…more power to ’em.
This has been my stance for a while now – I don’t post in threads that don’t interest me, or that I don’t think I can do justice to.
That said – I generally *shoot* for those threads, even if I don’t post to them. Keeps me on my toes.

ParticipantI must admit upon handling one of these, I experienced a strong desire to own a Nikon.
I’ve been shooting with one for about a week now.
It beats the pants off my poor old D80. I’ve fixed my lightning trigger to function with the D7000… this summer should prove very, very interesting.

ParticipantThat Tonto National Monument–I’m in a very small group in April who will be hiking up into those ruins for picture taking. They do it in the cooler months every couple weeks, no more than 7 people, and I snagged spots for myself and one other. Haven’t decided on the ‘other’ yet.
I’d be begging for an invite if we weren’t expecting the baby…

ParticipantHoly crap. I remembered to submit!

Participantsome odd goings on there, especially the lying about the manager’s/owner’s presence. that’s very screwed up. did you chastise him? question him?
I wouldn’t go so far as to say that saying there’s no manager is an outright lie when the “highest-ranking” person is the owner.
It’s possible that the employees didn’t know he was there, or that he’d come into the middle of the debacle, or even that the owner has given strict orders to the staff not to bother him on Saturdays while he’s using the back room to fix something of his own.
It’s hard to say.
The situation is definitely worrisome, though.
