Well I found three today when I went into town with my camera. Hopefully I do ok this week. Two that are actually working and one that has not been turned on in at least five years I bet. probably a lot longer.

The abandoned restaurant in my 3/3 is the Mcy Ds I worked at until the beginning of January when it shut down. went from a relatively busy restaurant to that in just 3 days.

Oh thank you very much! I guess I just gotta mess with it until I figure it out because with my luck they will get rid of the “Use HTML Buttons” thing if I don’t figure it out first. I have never learned all that html stuff. other than grabbing the pre written code from flickr. but when I tried to use it earlier it did something weird that looked even more like gobbledegook to me than normal. which is when I tried the Use HTML Buttons thingy and it brought the old style submission box back.

yeah I figured out that there is a “button” on the right side on the top to switch it back to the old style submission box. It says “Use HTML Buttons”. But the new thing confused me enough on my first entry I forgot to enable voting.

Could I please get my first entry envotenated. Please. the new set up threw me off for a minute and I forgot to check the box.

Ok I have three. Two from today and one from September. now to wait till 9pm.

I have one or two thoughts and am going out into the freezing cold to try them out. wish me luck. other wise it’s archive diving for me tonight and I’m not sure what I have in the archives that would fit.

Well I like it. So executive decision is fine by me. At least I have a while to get my pictures taken or at least selected for it.

Just went and looked at my stats for this week…Can’t believe I came in second for most votes this week! that’s pretty damn cool if you ask me even if I didn’t get better than 8th place. One in the top 10 makes me happy.

Very cool! I wonder if the scientists who tag them could get any important info from your pics?

Well I haven’t really learned much about the dodging and burning things. But I do know borders are ok as long as they are not huge. a little narrow border is perfectly within the rules. I need to do more research on the other things before I make a judgement on the vignetting I guess.

in my opinion as a mod I would say yeah a bit much with the vignetting and the border is acceptable as long as it’s only a narrow border if I remember correctly. Can’t remember where the rules for posting are but I seem to remember it’s only supposed to be like 5 or 10 pixels wide. I like the shot other than the vignetting being I think a bit much .

Is the theme that hard to understand? I ask because it seems to me that there are several entries of stock looking cars. I also wish voting was enabled on the ’76 cop car. I guess I’ll leave theme interpretation accuracy up to the voters. On the plus side, it seems like we’re got some new players this week.

Yeah I definitely didn’t vote for anything that looked completely stock. I did vote for a bunch though. lots of very cool cars.

Thanks. all 3 were archive dives but I hope to get at least 2 or 3 votes.

The weather around here also mandated archive dives. I’m pretty happy with what I got, though. Just hoping to show up someplace respectable.

Well I think they will do ok. I had a friend a few years back who had a VW powered trike. Didn’t look nearly as nice as the one in your picture.
