Now you ask for it back?!?

Huh? I’m asking what happened to it.

Damnit, I forgot what day it way. Stoopid night shifts. Oh, well, only had a couple half-assed entries playing on crude humor, so no biggie. Next time, gadget. Next time.

Same here, except the night shift, just busy. Realized Thursday that I missed it.

I had nothing this week. Actually I had a few I could have used but after looking at what was posted I decided to sit out. What really sucks is I live 1 mile from an abandoned amusement park and there are all kinds of abandoned warehouses and stuff on my ride from work but I have been too lazy lately to go shooting.

^he…he covers for Gwinny (as I do on occasion…both of us will be next week).

But weird on the login thing. Zeke’s been out of town, but is back, though catching up on some scout stuff tonight. I’ll mention it to him. Nothing under the hood has changed recently, though….when did this start? Any info is good, so header traces, whatever, thanks 🙂

Eeek! is a HE? For years I thought he was a she. And I am not sure why. Of course a lot of people think I am she as well. Apparently Ennuipoet is not the most masculine of monikers, that I and occasionally like to dress as Marilyn Monroe.

You mean you’re not a girl?

I’m seeing the same thing on my desktop at home. Win 8/chrome & firefox. Haven’t tried IE. Always logs me out but login info is saved. My laptop running same config stays logged in.

Oil spots? WTF; Nikons get oil spots? Do you live near the La Brea Tar Pits, or Houston?

Mine seems to have a deep sump, since I clean and clean and still get crap like this and this. It’s bad enough I try not to shoot less than f11 anymore.

Damn, I change lenses on the fly like it’s going out of style and I don’t have near the dust/oil/crap show up at high f-stops as that shows. That would drive me absolutely batty. 😯

My D7000 is due for another cleaning. I may contact Nikon about it when I get the 600 back. I was told that they are doing a soft recall on them for the oil/dust issues. I’ll let you guys know what I find out.

These are my go to guys. Not just because they are up the street but because they do fantastic work.

Interesting. Any ballpark idea what their price and turnaround time for a cleaning and AF calibration runs? Nikon told me “more than the camera’s worth and longer than you want to wait.” Well, those are my words paraphrasing the quote they gave me.

Hmm..I typed out a reply to this. Don’t know where it went.
Anyway, turnaround for me is same day for cleaning because I pass the place going to and from work. Last time I had it done the cost was $40-ish? You would be 24 hrs for cleaning plus shipping.
As for calibration, you would have to call and ask.

Nikon service has had my D600 for 5 weeks now for oil spots on the sensor. Supposedly they are replacing the mirror assy & the shutter but the parts are on backorder. Needless to say I’m not real happy about that.

It’s a change of pace to have three new-ish photos; all were taken within the past month and two within the past week! For reference, if you recognize my tree-with-benches shot, it’s the same scene, but a more recent picture (yesterday, in fact) as used in “Parks”

I took mine 5 minutes before posting. 😉

Weird. I just bought a charger for my laptop this weekend after I left the original one at work. The Igo was $65!! ouch! but now I have an extra and don’t have to lug one back and forth to work.

Are you using the same charger for both laptops?

Shooting Yankee fans sounds fun. What kind of gun?

It’s odd how that reaction seems to be universal. I suppose Yankee fans are the Texans (state not team) of the baseball world. Loud, undeservingly proud of something they had nothing to do with and cannot wait to talk to you about something you don’t care in the least about.

Being a born and bred MassHole I can tell you without a doubt the most obnoxious Yankee fans live in Ma & RI. Because they live in the heart of Red Sox Nation they feel they have something to prove. The Yank fans I know who are actually from the NY area are usually pretty cool.
