What I would like to see, is similar to what worth1000.com does, although I kinda hate stealing all their methods as I pretty much did with the submissions rules, but WTF, they are good rules.

Anyway, what worth1000 does is they set a deadline to when images can be submitted, and noone gets to see them before hand, then it goes to voting which also has a deadline.

I know that the way Fark is setup though, that just isn’t gonna happen unless Drew were to make significant changes to his site, which I highly doubt.

So really, as far as the voting goes, people are just gonna have to live with it and just do it for the fun of it, or compete somewhere else like worth1000.

As far as the number of entries, I always liked the 3 submission rule, probably mainly cuz I always had a hard time picking just one to enter, and as was mentioned already, sometimes the one you think will do well doesn’t, and the one you think won’t does.

But hey, I don’t even participate anymore, so why listen to me. 😛

It was intended to be pretty much anything without fins or feathers. Birds and fish were intended to be later themes.

Yup. You know what. I used my Canon G2 so much more than I do the 10D. The 10D is an awesome camera, but somewhat of a beast to take around all the time, so, I don’t take it with me nearly as much. So I’m downsizing and just gonna stick with a “Prosumer” level camera.

I’ve barely touched my camera in several months, pretty much not at all this year. Actually, I’m thinking about selling my Canon 10D and all accessories and get a small pocket sized one. I used to use my Canon G2 alot more than this one. It’s just too big to carry around all the time.

Anyway, attached are two zip files containing a single CSV file eash. Those CSV files contain all the rankings (1st, 2nd, 3rd, &c) for every entry for every theme (and the farktographer and the URL).

Hey veruca, sorry it’s been taking so long, I’ve been quite busy again but managed to write some more code for it today. I know I’ve said this before, but I’m hoping to have it done this weekend. The most tedious part is going to be populating the winners database.
