ParticipantDoes the Fark rehost thing change the color spacing? I use sRGB which is pretty much standard practice for the major browsers now
That doesn’t appear to be the case, I’m afraid:

ParticipantI don’t think the thread is voting-enabled?

ParticipantI’m fairly sure the sweep panorama on the iphone works the same way as it does on Sony cameras, it’s basically a stitched multi-exposure panorama created in camera, not technically a single exposure the way it would be e.g. on a swing-lens film camera, although the interface seems to do a pretty good job of hiding that fact.

Participanthmm, from what he’s saying it will resize them automatically too? Then we’d probably be better off feeding it the original size images directly rather than a resized one from flickr etc – if you use a resized one it will get resized twice….

ParticipantI am hoping against hope that by the time I finally pull the trigger on the new machine (July, maybe) Win8 will be updated to include an option to switch default to the more traditional layout.
I have a machine with win 8 on it. It is fairly horrible overall, but you can get it into something resembling a usable state for an additional 5$:

ParticipantI’m not sure about sleeping‘s IR and fuzzy tree blossom shots…do they seem too b/w?
Lesson: Don’t pick images for this sort of contest on your shitty monitor at work. If I’d been on my main image editing machine I wouldn’t have picked either of those I don’t think….

ParticipantUh, you did say “F3”. If it’s an FE you won’t have the same button, no. The M90 setting on the shutter speed dial might work in that case.

ParticipantAh here a photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/awrose/6148879897/ The DOF release is the silver button on the front of the camera, between the lens mount and the battery grip shutter button, and you can kind of see the mirror lockup lever around it with the lever bit pointing up.

ParticipantMake sure the mirror lock up isn’t engaged, that’s a lever around the dof preview button (on the front, left of the lens mount). IIRC the little lever is supposed to point up normally.

ParticipantYeah, the 3 cell graflex is the one that one was used for Luke’s, but I think some of the others like Vader’s used different models (quick trip to google suggests it was a mpp microflash…)

ParticipantI don’t remember which ones specifically, but several of the graflex-type battery holders are mostly sought after by people making lightsaber props rather than photographers.
