ParticipantHeh – Farktography really amuses and confounds me sometimes, but that’s okay. Elsinore and Choc-Ful-A, I loved yours.

Thanks! I really liked this contest and had a bunch of ideas for shooting groups of pictures around a common subject (with some unusual variation). But real life got in the way and I ended up looking for things in the archives photo’s I’ve taken. So I’m glad to hear you liked the pics.
I’d be interested to hear if other people found the idea of a multi-picture theme as interesting as I did. If so, maybe we can think of another theme that encourages the same sort of story telling? I’d like another chance to shoot some photo sequences to convey some complex message again.

I liked the idea, and would definitely be up for something along the same vein. The challenge of grouping three shots together was really interesting.

KeymasterThanks much, orionid. When my father passed away in May, that guitar was the only thing of his that I cared two shits for. It’s not worth anything, but he played the hell out of it, and it’s beautiful. I have lots of good memories of him playing that guitar from the time I was tiny to the first time he actually let me play her when I was in high school (we otherwise weren’t allowed to touch her). We played together with an uncle on keyboard, Dad on lead, and me on rhythm playing House of the Rising Sun. And that was the very first song I played on her after my stepmom handed her over to me.
I was really pleased with my shots this week (which doesn’t happen often and hasn’t happened in awhile). Musta been all the good memories tied to the guitar 🙂
I would definitely love to see a repeat of this theme at some point.

I agree this was a fun challenging theme. I had this theme in the back of my mind when shooting since it was suggested and looked like it was gonna be a go. So I would deliberately shoot with this theme as a template.Unfortunately real life got in the way of sifting through the photos and finding the perfect set.
I like the ones I posted but I think I should have put up this one instead of the outside window shot.

As with others, life got in the way and I did a simple file search for this one. However, I really do like the idea.
Choc, you said it right there…Tell a Story.
Three frames. “Tell a Story”. Probably limit it to no text or a simple one-line title.
I have to work but I’ll try to post this on the theme board later.

ParticipantI also really liked this theme.I had fun going out and taking dozens of pictures of the Battery Point Lighthouse. Its a shame Imageshack seems to have given up on me. But now maybe It wont happen so much anymore.
