Do you guys consider film cameras obsolete?

From a PURELY technical standpoint, yes. For the purposes of this theme*, yes. From a personal perspective, not only no but hell no.

*Not my theme, so that is pure opinion.

By no means I consider them obsolete either, but like you said, for the purpose of this theme, I just might.

/I still have plenty of frozen (expired) film in the fridge =)

Mmm frozen film!

i had a bunch of it but finding developer was getting really hard. then the freezer lost power and it all thawed. wasn’t worth refreezing by that point.

this film needed E3 developer. the one you had to flash. even free it was difficult to get excited about shooting.

until you held those big beautiful 4 x 5 slides in your hands.

That’s what I get for not paying attention. I was looking for rusty stuff until I saw what Mopsy had thrown on our imagehost.

Good thing I take photos of weird shiat. I even have one of these…

I’ve got Shoe(s) and Floriduh and these 2. I didn’t really want to have 2 from the same category, so now I’m torn.
(The “s” is in parentheses because there’s only 1 shoe in the picture)

I like the composition of the Jeep better but I think the pump is probably more “obsolete”.

I second (third?) that opinion, Yugoboy.

As for me, I’m headed out of town again Friday so preparing for that takes me out of this one. And being out of town next week and away from my record & CD collection takes me out of next week’s, too, which is a real bummer as I’ve been looking forward to that one for a long time (evidently not forward enough or I’d already have it done, though, right?).

Kes, I suspect that a TFer will step up for you, but if not, I’ll OBO.

While on the subject of being out of town, any San Diego farktographers out there who’d like to meet up some evening next week (other than Farktographer – you’re still out of the country, right)?
