ParticipantAnd my boyfriend selling his 1968 Mustang tomorrow before I have time to take copious amounts of pictures of it makes me a sad panda.

ParticipantQuestion. Would something like this be acceptable for this theme?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/thepostess/3751014892/
It’s actually 4 photos of the same subject put together and blended in PS.

ParticipantThanks.

KeymasterI think that’s kind of a gray area of what (I think/interpreted) the original intent was, but would be acceptable under the way things are worded now. Since allowing HDR means allowing multiple exposures, then what you did with multiple shots would be very similar to that.

ParticipantOk, I appreciate the response. That just opens up ideas for me.

ParticipantI’m with Elsinore. The description states that you can’t move individual elements of a photo around like a photoshop contest. But your image is someplace between that and the several pics needed for HDR.
My take. It is software Hootennany. Your image works.

I’m definitely for allowing that based off of how cool it looks.

ParticipantYeah. What linguine said.
Just what are you photographing – if I may ask. Like that blue one on your Flickr page. I might like that one even better. What the hell is that? 🙂

ParticipantThe blue one, the red one and the green one are all using the four same shots. Each pic is of the lights on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge as we were traveling over it.
The same bridge a few minutes later…

heh i love bridges but be careful about photographing them. I’m not sure in other states but after 9/11 there were signs put up all over the NJ/NY bridges that photos and videos are forbidden. i still got some shots but I’ve known other people who were seen taking pics and they got their cameras taken and authorities deleted the images as a warning.

ParticipantAnother great product that has a free 15 day trial is Color Efex Pro. No masking or layers, it’s non-destructive and has some very cool filters.

Thanks for the info. I am not worried as far as this bridge is concerned. The fishing piers, which are the old bridge, are a State Park and the bait shops have pics taken by fishermen/women on the walls.
They’re actually more concerned about whether or not that Grouper you were lucky enough to catch is of legal size to keep. 😀
