ParticipantIt was a one-time thing, although I’m friends with two out of the three guys that camped with us that own theirs so hopefully I’ll get to do it again in the future 🙂
If you’d like I can put you in touch with one of them, he loves to talk about flying so I’m sure he’d be happy to give you any info you need.
Cool. I’ve done a tandem skydive and have flown in small planes before, so as best as I can imagine it would be something like a combination of those.
And thanks for the offer; I’ll keep it in mind, but right now I’m not serious enough to waste his time. One of these days, though…

ParticipantI’d say all of those are fine and yours likely won’t be the only ones, Yugoboy. It’s not my theme, but these things are usually more “anything that implies the mood” rather than strict literal interpretations.
I’m pretty much in the same boat, except that I have kids but they’re long past the Halloween dressup stage. I could probably go either way (it won’t be my finest performance, I’m sure), but I wouldn’t mind seeing everyone else’s entries and I agree with you and Els that it’s too late at this point anyway.

It must’ve been a problem on GoDaddy’s end. My web populator component that pushes the stats to the website reported that it couldn’t connect from 5:30 until about 8:30. Looks like everything’s back to normal now, though.

ParticipantThat report only shows continuous stretches starting at #1. So if someone had 2-404 they wouldn’t be on the list at all, even though they had a longer set than anyone else.

Also, your all-time average NP is 48.55, which means on average, your entries are better than more than half of all other entries. That’s good enough to get you on the top 100 list for average NP and considering that there are almost 6000 users on record, that’s not too shabby.

Well, I wouldn’t quite say that. It’s not really a matter of sheer suckitude (even U-Man has a 171st place entry); you’ve just been very organized about it when it happens. 🙂

ParticipantThat’s really cool, Choc – congrats! The image seems to fit the title really well, also. I’d probably have done exactly what you did, but I think ennui‘s got a good point; open-ended agreements are rarely a good idea.
BTW, ennui, that link goes to a model release form for being photographed/recorded as opposed to a media usage rights form.

Those who’ve been around me here for a while had to have seen this coming… Of course, my “accomplishment” and NBD’s blatant boasting 😉 got me wondering – what is the record for having an entry in sequential places? No real surprise, it’s hard to beat 114 and NBD holds the record for longest streak. My measly 31st barely gets me on the top 25 list:
