Images that give a sense of distance from your subject

corsec67 The problem is that this theme isn’t “Shoot something with a long lens”, but to show distance.

What about earthbound images taken from a distance with a telephoto lens that show a perspective difference between far away objects ?
For example, this image of the first leg of a triathalon (taken from a hillside about 500 yards away).

Just curious. If that’s not the idea of the challenge, no problem.

Got a question about adding links to an entry.

If I post an image for voting, can I also post a link that ‘pops’ to a similar shot but taken from a different angle?

You should buy her some tweezers!

Ack! I never noticed that before (which explains why my teenagers are always so mortified at how clueless I am about all things fashion and grooming. I personally have major bushy ‘Gandalf’ type eye-hair).

I used the ‘tweezers’ tool in photoshop to make a few slight modifications to the image.

Here’s a candid photograph of my daughter having a close encounter with a truck:

(Not really. I made this photoshop years ago when she was in driver training)

And then your second picture is a broken bone, and your third is something about words and being invincible?

A tryptych! Thats an idea. I already have several pictures of fractures (treated with plates and other fixation devices), I just need a “words don’t hurt me” image.

I’m thinking about submitting an image with colored stones in the foreground and blurred out sticks in the background. An artsy-fartsy ‘sticks and stones’. Ha !

I’ve got a macro of a yellowjacket for this one.
