ParticipantWe have a canon powershot… little point and shoot. I played around for awhile with my Sister’s pentax DSLR… I would like to get my own and am looking at either a Pentax or Nikon D40. May have to save a few months since I want to avoid going into debt if I can

ParticipantI just need to think of an interesting way to take a picture of one… How to take one that stands out. I have been carrying our camera around past 2 days hoping to see something interesting

ParticipantActually It was taken off the back of the Ferry going between Bar Harbor Maine and Yarmouth NS. At the time the Ferry was the Bluenose, Built in the Mid 60s or so and took 6 hours to make the 100 mile crossing.
Now they have “The Cat” takes 1.5hours to make the same crossing

ParticipantThats what I was thinking…. Hmmmm so no re-arranging elements within the picture? or does rotate+crop mean you could rotate a section of the pic, or crop it and then re-insert it into the original image elsewhere?

ParticipantThis is going to be interesting. I am already looking through my pictures… And have a few ideas. THough I am a little unsure of if more than just slicing is allowed.
