Somehow we missed the mess over the weekend – A couple of t-storms on the way in to OK, but we were out before stuff came down Sunday =/

KeymasterQueenBee: Did you realize your 2011-05-25 08:12:06 PM was a grayscale color pop? All the color values except the eyes are perfect shades of gray where all RGB values are the same.
I did not! Well shit 😛 I must have played with it for that contest and never used it. I don’t think I have an original anymore either.
Lemme check. Nope. Must have lost it in the crash of twenty ten. Ahh well. Sorry about that. Could you remove it? I’ll put up something else.

Oh damn, that sucks the original is gone 🙁 I’ll remove this one, though. It’ll be good for a future color pop at least!

Pshaw. 😉 That’s how you can tell a native Oklahoman – when the sirens go off, they’re on the back porch looking for the thing. Like I have been several times over the past couple of weeks.
Been a really active season here so far. Looked really hairy last night, but nothing came of it in the end (same can’t be said for the poor folks in El Reno, though).
Got some decent cloudscape shots at sunset last Sunday. Kinda takes the fun out of it, though, knowing that’s the same storm that went on to devastate Joplin. 🙁
Seriously, though, do whatever you’ve gotta do to feel and be safe.

So far, so good: we dodged the first round earlier today, but what’s coming in on the radar looks like the Wall of Doom. They’re saying they had a 90 MPH gust near Terre Haute.
I’m charging the camera, iphone, amd laptop batteries up just in case.
There go the sirens again.

QB – If you can’t find a #3 (I didn’t check the theme) you could make this one completely B&W./just trying to be neighborly 🙂

Evansville reported 75mph…not sure if there’s been anything higher reported, but there was a tornado at Bedford and possibly one in Jasper. The line itself is now getting ready to cross into the county immediately west of us, and they’ve called a tornado warning for part of our county (the wind is apparently pretty intense even ahead of the line).

Thanks! It is one of my favoritest photos evar. White paper background, flashes and umbrellas to each side, flash on camera pointed up with diffuser – 16 mm on full frame 5D Mk II, prefocused at about two feet – had my daughter pull a string right over my head and snapped pics with my fingers crossed. It just happened to completely fall together with this one. 🙂

weather update – today’s storm was a regular ol’ thunderstorm with winds up to 60 mph. It has passed for now.
