Loki, I’m so glad you asked that because I really thought I had nothing and wasn’t going to post anything, and now I’ve gone back to look through my the playground pics I have to see if I have anything. I hope you get an answer!

Number 6 was 73 stairs high. I was taking pictures when a father and daughter came along and the 5 year old girl said, “I can climb all those!” Dad said, “No, honey, wait for this guy–he’s taking pictures.” I told him it was alright–I was pretty much done. We got to talking, and he okay’d my taking a pic of her climbing up, which I really wanted to use for the contest, but didn’t see as a good vote getter (the backstory is they are the ‘Save our Stairs’ monument, dedicated to preserving their old steps with donated funds, of which you can see the plaques for the donors on the lower end of the steps–the ‘grafitti on the left, along with a plaque, explains it). That was too long to explain in the contest, I felt, but I do really like the picture, and mayhaps use it sometime in the future.

Loki and Clouddancer, I think those steps are fine.
So apparently fark no longer likes picasa. I can’t post any images from there at all. Here’s the message fark gives me:

Guess I’m stuck with flickr now.
I got one of those the other day trying to link something from my Google Photos album (what Picasa is going to be rolled into). I suspect it has something to do with the https. I don’t think Picasa used to use SSL.
Question is, who to complain to =P
It’s only annoying because I had some good organization going on picasa. I already have a flickr account, and posting from there is no harder.
It may very well be the https vs http…try entering the address without the s and see if that works (it worked for some people). Mike has a bug report about this and is looking into it.
That still doesn’t necessarily solve the issue of the images disappearing. Or does it? Anybody know if the fark scratchpad might keep posts around long enough to test this?
In theory it should. I think it’s just a rolling thread where only you can see your own posts.
I use it to test my auto-posts each week and posts there don’t hang around very long at all, a few hours at most.
