I just got mine posted. Dayum! The contributions are usually really good, but this theme seems to have brought out everyone’s best. Not a stinker in the bunch. Even mine are pretty good.
October 6, 2011 at 1:22 am #40740mopsyParticipantThanks Rav.
October 6, 2011 at 1:30 am #40741aspiditesParticipantLots of excellent pictures so far this week. Got to agree, Mopsy’s lion is very good.
Some deer shots I got at Cades Cove that I was looking at for this.

October 6, 2011 at 2:03 am #40742bender16vParticipantI had a really hard time choosing. I even went out driving around until sundown tonight trying to get some good ones. I did see some deer, but they wouldn’t come out of the shadows.
Here are some Bees:
http://bit.ly/o8kWT9 – Heron
http://bit.ly/r6yoFA – An angry Loon
http://bit.ly/mY1y22 – Mommy Merganzer (I think she had 15 little ones following her)
http://bit.ly/ox6qu2 – I don’t know what these are, but it looks like one forgot to buy toilet paper at the supermarket
http://bit.ly/pfZFyv – Another shot of the fawn that ran down my street while I was packing to move north
http://bit.ly/pWFaAb – The little lizard who I found living in my ’79 Scirocco project carAll should pop, I hope.

October 6, 2011 at 3:35 am #40744KestranaParticipantOh and here’s about 500 B’s if you want to look at more of my animal pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kestrana/collections/72157624415287752/
They’re even divided up by kingdom for you 😛
October 6, 2011 at 4:41 am #40745CauseISaidSoParticipantOh, man, this one’s gonna be a slugfest. Lotsa good stuff this week.
Half a dozen B’s here.
October 6, 2011 at 4:55 am #40746ElsinoreKeymasterWell, a slug fest for places below 2nd or 3rd maybe 😉
October 6, 2011 at 5:13 am #40747Choc-Ful-AParticipantThere was one photo this week which I really liked but didn’t include in the 3 I posted. I’ve always found Needlefish fascinating, they are like living javelins with huge staring eyes and very long pointy jaws lined with sharp vicious looking teeth. Well I got two shots of a school of them when snorkeling in Kauai using an underwater capable point & shoot. I didn’t have high hopes for the photo, but one of them came out pretty nicely.
So while I thought better of posting it and relegated it to “b-side” status for this contest, I thought it was worth posting here.

//good stuff this week.😆 That is so awesome seeing it running in the snow!
But, I felt so bad for that poor bunny that was posted later, I’m sure it was like WTF?!?
And I agree, terrific pics this week!
