Howdy, folks….Good to see that everyone is still going strong on Farktography. I feel very honored that a couple of my images have been selected for the book…Sadly, I don’t believe that I have any of my pics in higher res…If I do, I wouldn’t know where to begin to look for them. My aging parents have really needed me this past year or two, and I have not had time to go shooting, or participate in any recent contests. I was a broken man there for a while, but hope to get back in action sometime soon. I’ve really missed you guys. I have looked in at a few of the contests and voted for many of the entries, but that’s about it. I’m bummed I missed this weeks contest…I own several revolvers and pistols, and would really have enjoyed to make a comeback with this one..Oh well…I’ve replied to the PM..In the event ANY of my images can be used ‘as is’, feel free to do so. It’s all about the fun for me. Thank you kindly for thinking of me. Miss you all !

I’m not quite sure how these beard pics have inspired me to put on my old Speedo again, and go outside for a few minutes, but they did….However, I imagine they’ll induce cravings for mind bleach, rather than hot cocoa by the fireplace.

I’ve had more fun with this lens lately than anything else I think.

I considered the Canon, but went with this one instead….I wanted to go a bit wider than the 50mm….Both are great lenses, and the f1.4 is awesome for low light conditions, without a flash.

I am most definitely going to try to take a ton of pictures and learn every thing I can about this camera and photography in general.I guess I’m gonna go broke buying more lenses. But I can think of much worse ways to go broke.

All I’ll say, is this……Choose your lenses wisely….Look at Sigma, Tamron & other off the wall names…You need not go with Canon glass to get the results you’re looking for.
