Even though I lobbied some for a different method I’d say this was fair. When you’re dealing with as many photographers and photographs as we are for this no system was going to be perfectly fair. The way I look at it is regardless of how the photos are chosen theres going to be a lot of good photographs by a lot of good photographers.

Also, NBD: Hated to do it, but your color swap/in-camera color thingee doesn’t qualify; the rules have a bit about artistic filters/color stuff with cartoonish results.

I understood that as photoshop filters. Not stuff you do in camera. That shot was straight out of the camera except for resize.
Don’t matter, I’ll find something else.

I look at it as along the same lines as doing selective decolorization which unless its been changed in the past 3 or 4 years since the last time I can remember us talking about it we decided it isn’t allowed to be done in camera either.

Im guessing we should get at least a free plug on fark about the book and based off of the high responses there have been to other charity fundraisers on fark before I’d guess if we mention that proceeds are going to charity we’ll probably be able to sell a decent number to general farkers.

I looked at it as the watermelon having 2 weapons when I first saw it.

I kinda like going with a silly photo on the cover, it seems to capture the spirit of farktography.

Have you talked with the publisher about the form? I wouldn’t be surprised if they either had something already for this or would want their lawyers to write something up or at least look over whatever we’re using to grant permission to use our photographs.

Would Drew have their email addresses from them signing up for fark? He may not be allowed to give them to us but you could probably give Drew the list and the email thats being sent out and have him or one of the fark mods email them.
