I would also suggest picking up an entry level dslr. A canon rebel won’t set you back much with the kit lens, even new.
Even a Nikon D40 can be had new for around $400.

B&H has a pretty good used camera dept and you are buying from a reputable dealer.

I believe a purple haze on 120 film means ya need more fix time. 120 usually has a bit of a purple trint anyway, but it I think it fades after a bit.

I would think your scan issues have more to do with your scanner settings than anything else. did you try different settings?

Thanks for all the kind words! I’ve only picked up my DSLR about three or four months ago, and I am enjoying the hell out of it.

Doing Farktography was one of my two photo resolutions this year. The other was a Project 365. Kind words are a huge encouragement for me.

Oh, a third resolution: EOS 7D, EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.8, 24-70mm f/2.8L USM and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II in my possession by the end of the year. If only my wife would agree to that third one 🙁

I need to get me a bunch of Lego myself. They might help me win a contest someday. Probably not but I can hope.

Every once in a while you can catch a good deal on fleabay with buk boxes or someone’s whole colection. I’ve got several tubs and boxes full. Maybe close to 20,000 bricks in a collection that started when I was three or four.

Pangolyn had a fair collection, too. She got bored one weekend and made a scene with every lego she owned, and I was going to try to do something similr for this week. Since the legos are already scattered all over my table I might finish it anyway just because.

I would never have the patience to do anything like that.

A few days ago I built a giant Lego tower with my grandson. When I went to get my camera to take a pic he asked me if it was the Tower OF Good Or The Tower Of Evil.

Me being that wise ass that I am tell him it’s the tower of EVIL!!! (said evilly)

Of course he gets all pissed off and smashed it before I got a shot.
