That sounds like a bad link, but I’m not sure why you’d get that from Flickr.
February 9, 2010 at 10:31 pm #26275sleepingParticipantHelp! What does this mean? Throwing away unfetchable URL http://a%20href%3D/: 500 Can’t connect to a href=:80 (Bad hostname ‘a href=’) Some times I get it when posting from flicker and sometimes no problem.
It looks like you might be inserting the HTML link code into a box designed for a URL. Flickr gives you both.

OK… Since “a%20href%3d” is the string “a href=” after it’s been “URL encoded”, I think you pasted HTML where the domain name and URI of your image goes. Meaning the template calls for,
http=//???
where “???” is to be replaced with the domain name and URI of the link. I suspect you replaced it with the HTML your hosting site suggested instead. If so, look for a link on your image hosting site that starts with “http://” and use that instead. Anything with is not what you want…

That’s what I meant to say, I just said it in a much more confusing way. No need to thank me for that value add, it’s what I do. 🙂

Ha! That’s so “me”. 😀
In other news, I have a baaaad feeling about my chances in this contest. I was just totally uninspired, and the ideas I did have didn’t seem to execute very well. le sigh. The messed up thing — or another messed up thing — is that I think the contest concept is sound… I just didn’t click with it for some reason. 😕 😳
February 10, 2010 at 9:16 pm #26280clouddancerParticipantCan there be more than one light source, if they’re right next to each other? After implementing my idea (ok, Friend’s idea that I’m shamelessly using) last night and getting a couple dozen shots, I believe I have something to use, but only a couple as the camera managed to get in way too many of them. In any case, the light source(s) is(are) in the picture, but it’s not a singular light source. Is that too much? I don’t really want to post and spoil my idea, but I will if it’ll clear up what I’m asking.
I’m likely not going to get many votes for mine either, but I still think it’s really cool. Both Friend and Husband helped set up the shot(s), so I’m kind of psyched.
February 10, 2010 at 9:37 pm #26281ElsinoreKeymasterI don’t see why more than one light source would be a problem. Some of the ones I’m considering have numerous light sources.

February 11, 2010 at 1:14 am #26283KestranaParticipantI love continental_sausage‘s “Tree lights” with that decadent indigo sky.
February 11, 2010 at 1:34 am #26284ElsinoreKeymasterHey U-Man: Just cause I noticed you said you took the Disney light shot for a possible HDR–you won’t be able to use that shot from tonight in an HDR stack since part of it will have then been used in another contest. Cool light fixture, though!
February 11, 2010 at 1:47 am #26285olavfParticipantSo my third shot didn’t work out so well this week. I was getting plenty of voltage (a nice 2.4V) but not enough current to light an LED, let alone a light bulb (I tried both)
I had one other idea that I was going to try, but I came home at lunch today with a 99.7 degree fever (my normal body temp is nearly 2 degrees lower than ‘normal’) and frankly I should probably just keep sitting here on the couch and watching Star Wars :/
February 11, 2010 at 1:55 am #26286KestranaParticipantTake a picture of the tv 😉
Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well 🙁

Roight (like Monty python). I have other HDR’s I like better. Actually, at least three are from Disney. I had kinda forgotten about that folder because it was in my people/snapshots/family photos section. I found that I did quite a bit of creative stuff during that trip as well.
February 11, 2010 at 3:32 am #26288caradocParticipantStiff competition so far. I’m just happy I remembered to post BEFORE going to bed…
