ParticipantI’ve only got one idea for this one, and I dunno if I’ll get time to get to it.
Been really honkin’ busy lately.
Feelin’ your pain man, and this is my theme. Killing me. Haven’t been able to cycle the shutter at all for anything.

Participantstereotypical California teen..surf…angst
My thoughts exactly.
I like to kid him that I saw more field time than he did.
That’s funny.
I played both alto and baritone in marching, symphonic and jazz bands. Haven’t played in many a year though.fluffybunny
ParticipantGreat work CISS! I especially liked “GH8A3273.jpg” (85/103) and “GH8A2931.jpg” (8/103). Also glad to see that you included the band.
/Former band nerd.

ParticipantHave not had time to test it for sure yet though with respect to our particular problem.
So 24 hours later and I’m still good. This appears to work.

ParticipantSo if you’re running FireFox and you (or someone you love) has mistakenly cleared all your cookies, you can edit them with this:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/edit-cookies/?src=search
to set the expiration to some arbitrary long distant future date. Have not had time to test it for sure yet though with respect to our particular problem.

ParticipantI have had (and currently have) different issues with different machines but I never have to reset my password.
At worst, I have an XP machine running updated Firefox that won’t keep me logged in to farktography more than a few hours. It used to but someone cleared my cookies and now no matter what I do it won’t stay logged in.
Try using the login link from different part of farktography, ie “My Account” vs the link at the top of pages and so on. Some of them throw the symptom you describe for me as well but one of them always works (I can’t remember which).

Wish I was there.

ParticipantWe have become a nation of paranoid sissies, and I hate it.

ParticipantExcellent!

ParticipantTry to diffuse the situation by using a longer lens, say a 500mm and point it right at them. Don’t forget to mutter to yourself occasionally, “Work with me baby!” and “Make love to the camera!” might be some nice calming phrases.

Seriously, I do draw a little attention with an SLR sometimes but never had anyone make demands or go out of their way.

ParticipantNow that it’s hoppered, quick question: do we have to shoot ALL the pieces, or can we take something apart and shoot only 1 or a few of the pieces?
For the second, admittedly, I wouldn’t have to take a thing all the way apart, but only shoot the photogenic piece(s).
For example, I’m likely to be changing my starter, and also soon the spark plugs and wires. If I can make a cool melange of these parts, I wouldn’t have to disassemble the entire Jeep.
You made me smile with the Jeep punchline.
I think we’re good keeping things as open as possible.
That being said, if it were me with the Jeep problem, I would try to make it obvious that the parts came from the Jeep. High key spark plugs on a white background doesn’t scream to me that you took something apart.
Also, could you spare me some time? I am starting to feel depressed that I have not participated much lately.
