Participantgood point.. I need to find a way to do it automtically, I can do it manually, just a pain.

ParticipantI need to look that up as well, I think things like Photoshop and GIMP have the option to include that capability. I should start that now that I want to do more than just take quick snapshots for family etc..

ParticipantYou can take great pictures with any camera. Better gear makes it easier, but in the end it comes down to YOU. The other reality is that owning a camera lets you take better pictures than not owning a camera because you’re saving up for one. Be glad you have something you can go ahead and take pictures with. The practice you get from shooting with this camera and dealing with its limitations will pay off when you move up to a camera that doesn’t limit you as much.
I agree I dont think the camera is as important as the photographer. I have taken a few really nice pictures with my cell-phone camera of all things.

ParticipantNot sure…. If you are too far back flash wont help. We have gotten a few really good ones at times when we were close to the stage turning the flash off and letting our Point n shoot go automatic. Though usually there is motion blur. (have to keep the flash off since they were taking cameras from anyone who used it at the concert we were at)

ParticipantWe had a kodak 3.2MP that we wore out after 5 years of practically daily usage. The lens mechanism wore out or broke, and we went with a Canon. It took pretty good pictures but was a real battery hog. The newer ones are much friendlier to batteries
