I think color popping would fall under the no special rules contest exclusion and couldn’t be used. But if it was a photo that you were debating using for the color popping theme it wouldn’t be eligible because the photos are supposed to be from after the contest happened.

That, indeed, is the spirit of the contest. if she had seen a picture yesterday and thought “DAMN! that would have been so good!” it would be eligible, but the colorpopping theme is out anyway. =P

Okay, looks like I get Nitpicky Question Number 1: How elevated are we talking? To clarify the meaning of my question, I have a picture I took straight down on a couple of baby sheep, but my elevation was about 4.5 feet. I figure the angle is true to the contest, but the elevation maybe not so much. I have a number of pix where the elevation is obviously not in question and you know you’re looking down even if it isn’t straight down, and I figure they’ll count, right? But I was not so sure of my lamb pic.

Despite the obvious truth of the great quantity of cute kids around here, I tend to agree with Elsinore.

clouddancer – there may actually be a suggested cute kids repeat theme in the themes section of the forums… you could try to find it or do your own thread, if you feel strongly about it. However, IF we did this contest again, please think about scheduling it in the summer time.

Today he was loving and generally overall fun. Some days it’s a trial not to pull my hair out. So today I’m not stressed out with him.

thank you. we have possibly one of the most make-shift photography studios evar (okay, maybe not that bad… 😉 ) but it was awesome to have it anyway to take “professional” looking pix… the photographers at the schools can’t make them really smile. Even better for me is taking “professional” pix with BOTH of them…. AND with my step-son. makes me happy.

U-Man – is your daughter always that photogenic or do you just take millions of pictures of her and get lucky a lot? I don’t doubt that she’s beautiful all the time, of course. 🙂

My older daughter (the one in the easter egg picture — it’s from a long time ago, but I couldn’t resist it) is — if my mama’s eyes are correct — gorgeous, but rarely photographs well… that picture was one of the good ones. If a mama can say so herself. 😉

my my my…. okay. no “specialty themes” like those above. No themes where there was more than one shot per post, no themes that break the ordinary manipulation rules. Personally I’m inclined to allow panoramas, but I don’t know that allowing panoramas in light of cutting off all the other stuff might not be fair.
