the one that looks like a mouse is, and i’m often surprised people can still recognize it seeing as how it is the oldest and the ‘cheapest’. 😉

the other one you can see in that picture is the Yop from Dr. Seuss. one fish two fish red fish blue fish. he’s the yop that hops from finger top to finger top; he hops from left to right and then hop hop back to left again. or close enough, i don’t have the book in front of me. 😀

some people recognize it (at least as suess) instantly, others think it’s some odd tribal thing or something. 😀

corsec – i’m just wishing i had a time machine so i could go back and take those pictures* (and any number of other pix lol) with the knowledge that i’ve gained since i took them. better yet, with the practice i haven’t yet had to make the knowledge i’ve gained work! 😀

*the flower is a fairly recent one, but didn’t use any new knowledge, just a borrowed macro lense before i bought my own. =P

Thanks for the FF extension links justkat. The right click thing seems to have done something to the clipboard function though( I can copy if I do the control thing but it wont let me paste any thing.? oh well thats fixable. There are a lot of excellent pictures again this week.. and year for that matter.My voting finger is tired now.

hey corsec – i got myself a FF addon that makes it so that any link pops if i right click on it – no dealing with the pull down menu, none of that, and it doesn’t interfere with any other right click functions. so now when i’m not sure, i right click! and i don’t feel the need to strangle anybody, isn’t that nice? 😀

/also got a nifty one that makes any link pop next to the tab it popped from, which i think is tidy.

*giggle* i sowwy. i know some people are really afraid of spiders and in any other thread i would have linked it with big SPIDER warnings… but it’s my impression that photos that are just linked don’t do all that well. nonetheless, i’m sure you won’t be the only one to have that reaction.

so many people recycling contest pictures. i thought there’d be more new stuff. there is extremely little overlap between my favorite pictures and the pictures i’ve been able to use for farktography. this contest was a chance to use some of them. although the flower was sort of a ‘day late and a dollar short’ for ‘tiptoes through the tulips’, i chose it because the b-sides are ones i am actually considering for upcoming contests and suggested themes.

the down side to the pictures that i’m using: i’ve learned so much about photography even in the last few weeks that i’m scared about using photos as old as the bridge and the widow are. i can only hope at least a few people don’t find them flawed.
