I guess none of us have office jobs?

Glad that I don’t, that will suck the life out of you.

This is my desk, it’s cleaner than usual as I’m in the office more these days. I’m supposed to spend 80% out in the field (literally)

Thanks to this contest I have found all the strip clubs in Toronto…..

I was waiting to see what you had…

I am sooooo glad to see Zanzibar is still around. Back in 89/90 there was a red head who also wore those red librarian glasses… ahhhh memories…

First place I ever saw the on-stage shower…

Gawd! Sometimes I really miss being single and having no responsibilities…

The Zanzibar is an institution in Toronto. The last time I was in there was at the end of my bachelor party. We had been drinking heavily for about 6 hours at that point. All I remember is looking at the girl on stage and saying (possibly loudly) that she should not be dancing.

Congrats U-Man, that is a great shot.

    It’s a good week for me…I filled out my top 10. I finally got a 7th place.

Congrats Ranger Joe, that is a great photo.

The stats indicate that we had a lot more voters and entries than we have had in a while. That is good news.

Thanks for the votes everyone! Can’t remember the last time I got two in a row (though I’m sure Bibliostats does! 😆 )

I giggled a lot at the the shot of the old guy.

This was a fun contest, a lot of really clever/funny entries.

My first one (the Jeep) was a great find while working one Saturday. I really want to know how they did this.

The last one is version 2, the first caption was not as funny. It was taken at this year’s Polar Bear Swim. Yes they went in the water, it was 2 deg C, the air temp was -6 deg C. These people are crazy.

Oh, I also picked up my gift to myself a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 G. All I can say so far is that it will take a bit to get used to it. I’m not used to prime lenses at all.

Nothing like zooming with your feet!

It’s more that just that, there is no Vibration Reduction on this lens, so the low end of the shutter sped I can use without support is much higher (1/125 vs 1/20). I am determined to get decent shots with it.

But yes, the first few times I needed to zoom out ended with me bumping into a wall.

hey Pope_Larry_II Thanks for the little gift. Wasn’t expecting that when I woke up this morn.

You’re welcome, I saw your post about working past the contest start time for liters, so I figured this might help a bit. That and I like your work.

I got my x-mas wish (it’s the same every year): to spend time with my family. I had Christmas dinner with my wife, my Dad, sister, BIL and niece and nephew. The fun part is the kids are 3 and 1 years old, they are entertainment. My niece spent the entire time in her undies (to be fair she was puking when we got there, she got better quickly after that) and my nephew decided to take off half way through a diaper change. Neither kid, nor my sister seemed phased by this, my wife and I were laughing and planning the vasectomy.

As for camera gear, none yet. But today we go shopping, I’m planning on picking up a Nikon 50mm lens.
