I’ll look forward to seeing some of these in the paper. But dayum–that Owen Sigbee fellow needs to get his eyebrows waxed. I mean DAYUM! (Cute, though).

My friends and relatives say I’m not allowed to give copies of this to their kids any more.

I’ve heard about that book. Is it actually any good? What ages does it target?

At the tender age of 40, I got a copy of that book as a gift. It has useful info for kids, but at 40, I’d already learnt and dunt most of it.

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that back in the day, nobody there was wearing spandex. However, fatigues and flower prints were probably seen fairly often. Damned if I can find any pictures to confirm that (other than the semi-recent movie, of which I give zero credence.)

I call it a fashion match, based upon historical (though unverified) precedence.

Depends what part of the world.

Perhaps only my little corner of it. 😯

Is it Orionid‘s natural fashion sense that the cables match the shirt, or did Kestrana help with the coordination?

    The world will never know.

Went out multitasking, laundry plus shooting for ‘Labor Day’. Wound up with a picture for this theme, I think. Go figure.

I don’t really know how to say it succinctly. But I know I shoot stuff that others don’t even see. I want that stuff that you shoot in this theme.

This tidbit from the theme suggestion box is actually quite helpful.

Keep getting bored, Orionid, it does wonders for your photographs.

It is a good picture. According to an article in the August, 2008 Pop. Pho. mag, it would be a good choice (p. 68.)

What’s the current contender, Kes? I haven’t seen it.

Unless I or one of you has the perfect re-write, I say we leave it messy.

Kes‘ – That’s funny because I have no idea what I am going to use. I just know that I like this way of looking at the world.

It’s like the series ‘Lost’, then. Nobody really will know what it was about until it’s over. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait 6 seasons for the results.

I have a gig-load of pics I’m considering. I’ll pick all the wrong ones, I’m sure. I still don’t get ‘Lost’, after all.

My plan is to keep on learning till the day I fall over dead.

So loki‘s statement there got me to thinking. That’s why I’m here, and I suspect it’s the reason for a lot of y’all, too – to try to learn from others, “steal” some ideas, and generally improve our own photography, right?

With that in mind, how does everyone feel about asking the winner of the week’s contest to do a short writeup about his/her winning entry?

I like the idea, but I’d place heavy wagers that I’m not in the majority. I appreciate the details on the shot–it really did come out well, and speaks volumes to the viewer (the proverbial 1000 words).
