I bought some no-name replacements off of ebay to replace my old ones and they’re great. I bought a total of 8 new batteries this fall so that I wouldn’t run into problems with low batteries in night shots this winter.

I’ve also bought Chinese remote release cables for $12 rather than Canon’s $40 from ebay, and I’ve heard good things about 3rd party battery grips in the $60 range. I think the next thing I’m going to buy is a Chinese timer remote cable for $50 or so as opposed to $130 from Canon.

Did you notice he appears to be wearing a wedding band? That always makes me chuckle.

Maybe the wife enjoys lending a hand (or fist :P)

    DON”T GIS ‘tubgirl’.

Might as well go for the trilogy and look up lemonparty 😛

none of these compare to 2girls1cup.

Damn. I’m going to have to try to get myself a Goatse vanity plate now. I wonder if the fact that my wife works at the DMV will help or hinder this.

Here’s what NeatImage does with it (the default settings, no tweaking from me at all) I use it quite a bit for high-iso shots

Damn. That’s dramatic. I last tried NeatImage about five years ago and it was nowhere near that good. Thanks!

dunno why it didn’t like that. i guess you have to copy and paste it? odd.

I think you need a .htaccess file in the fark directory. I can’t even go there directly.

oh hell. I forgot completely about this one. I should have used it instead of the blizzard girl in flipflops.

OK, yeah, you’re right. I thought it was Please Stay On Trail, but it is actually the Pack Creek Trail, so that makes more sense. It did, though, used to say Bears In Area.

This would have been a candidate, too, were it not a scan:

I’ll check those out. The built-in reduction in Canon’s DPP and what I can find in PS CS2 are worthless, at least as far as I’ve been able to utilize them.

thank you for pulling photos with descriptions! I really wanted to use this one:

but it’s not funny unless you know it used to say “bears in area, please stay on trail”.

I had a hard time finding shots that were funny at all without explanation. Not exactly my forte.

Thanks. I couldn’t believe how well they turned out. I can’t wait to print some of them up huge.
