Hey! I’m back.

I support all extant suggestions.

I also recognize that Fark as an entity is not what it was in the days before Reddit’s (whatever that is) ascendancy. (Seriously, I’ve never bothered with it.) I’m not sure how to “fix” what’s wrong with Fark. I believe a portion of the issue is that Fark keeps the site intentionally clean enough to avoid filters at work, while Reddit doesn’t care as much.

To answer the question, yes, you can use your favorite image editing software to accomplish the task. Just keep the editing to as minimal as possible to maintain the bulk of Farktography rules.

Anyone have a linky to good info on how to post to farktography from flickr? trying to help a newbie friend of mine get started. 🙂

I usually click on the picture, then right click and choose “Original” (I save at the 850px wide size for this). Then, that page shows up, right click on the picture and “Copy Image Source.”

If his/her Flickr image(s) are bigger than 850, they can choose a smaller size than “Original” to get the Image Source from.
