ParticipantHumph, not much time for a road trip for this one, time to start googling…

ParticipantAt last, been saving a few shots from last summer/fall for this… muhahahaha! (slips back into the shadows)

ParticipantMost excellent!

ParticipantThanks CISS & orionid.
Yes, the first is a 3-image HDR, processed in Nik HDR Efex Pro. Kept the settings fairly low, think I started with the ‘outdoor’ or maybe one of the ‘dark’ presets. I’ve had a couple friends express interest in getting prints done of that one when I posted it on Facebook over the weekend.
The second one isn’t HDR, but used the detail enhancer and sunlight filters in Color Efex Pro to bring out the detail and colors. Wife says it’s too saturated to look realistic, but I like it.

ParticipantU-Man’s Tahoe shot is not doing good things for my desire to go back there this summer.

ParticipantThanks. I’ve been pretty lucky with this location for sunset shots both times out there and is only a 10-15min drive from the house. The lake is still really down low, where I was standing for these shots should have water up over my head. Really hoping for some spring rains.

ParticipantMy own theme and I’ve got nothin (still) to post. Won’t start with the reasons, but enjoying what has been submitted (and voted for plenty of em).

ParticipantHere’s one shot (obviously in need of reprocessing for Farktography) that I’ve got in the pile of options:

ParticipantOffice supplies good, anything related to the movie Office Space good (so a restaurant with some ‘flare’ would fit), office buildings, battered copiers with a bat laying near by, etc

ParticipantI’m on G+ also, I like it, communities work pretty well, and I think are quite well suited for your needs.

Participant+1 considering the popularity of this week’s “Pets”, certainly think a number of big wide open themes would be good to have on deck.

ParticipantOkay, I’ve got too many darned good pictures of our corgi to pick from, even discounting the shots I’ve used in the past for other contest. Need some weigh in on a couple:

ParticipantIf someone would kindly delete my first attempt at submission #3, forgot to update the caption before posting. Thanks!
also, #3 is not HDR. (hope it’s not too border line, processed in Color Efex Pro 2)
Got it, and good to know on the processing. It looks kind of borderline, like it’s a bit overprocessed/tone mapped for Farktography purposes, but it’s borderline enough that I’ll let it stand.
Yeah, I figured it was borderline but thanks for letting it stand. Still getting the hang of Color Efex and I just couldn’t get Lightroom to do anything decent with the clouds that I *knew* were there.
