I’m in southern Scottsdale, and the summer monsoon is cranking up (official start is June 15th). Should have some decent storms in July. Take a tripod and a cable release. Organ Pipe should see some spectacular lightning this summer.

These were a bit north of there, but should be representative of the possibilities:

(As for it being a dry heat… so is your oven, but you probably don’t stick your head in it.)

Explore is… weird. I’ve had more than a few images hit Explore, but nothing in recent years.

    (Oh, and nice shot, SilverStag.)

I thought that for a bit, but the blog post is for today – and those hits all landed on the page on Sunday.

Turns out that my photo is the #1 hit for images.bing.com for “Arizona Wildfire.” I have no idea why. I like the shot, but it’s three years old…

I am wholly confused as to why a three-year-old photo would be popular now.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many hits *overall* on any other image of mine.

    Have you seen these photos?

With a fairly small investment in equipment like a Camera Axe and a couple of IR beam or laser sensors, you could get some really spectacular stuff.

I love this. No make-up artists. No posing. No nonsense (except when I babble at the baby to hear her babble back.)

(And it doesn’t hurt that most babies are just naturally photogenic anyway.)

Nice! I’m loving the Tamron 90 and D7000 – but the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 is a spiffy lens for the price, too.

(D7000, Tamron 90 – the Original size really shows off the details.)

That shot is on the money for a lot of good reasons. I’d say ‘cute kid’, but in this one, she’s righteous pissed. 🙂

Yep. Mid-diaper-change. It was one of those cases where you see something and say, “I really have to just take the ten seconds and get the shot.”

Even without the captioning, I love that shot.

Is it wrong that I could not resist the temptation to turn my lovely baby daughter into a Demotivator?
