Participant‘kay good deal.
Yay. It mildly annoyed my wife when I made her circle three times to get the shot of the WienerMobile…

ParticipantThere are several entries I strongly suspect were taken from a stopped vehicle.
Just an FYI, Elsinore – *all* of mine were taken in motion…

ParticipantIn the Phoenix area is an oral surgeon named Dr. Lipschitz.

ParticipantI’m pretty sure these aren’t the same birds in that later image – the dark band on the beak is missing.
In any case, I counted eight of the little bastards in the front yard over the weekend. They’re occasionally hard to spot in the trees:
That’s one of the fledglings, as noted by that dark band on the beak.

ParticipantThanks, Elsinore! And to anyone who voted for me!
@Zero Exponent – Take a look at anyone’s Farktography history and you will find that there are usually some “bottom-of-the-barrel” images in our varying profiles.

ParticipantIit just says it has to be a shot out the passenger side window
I’m not seeing that in the description – “from the passenger’s seat” could mean out the driver’s side window, windshield, passenger window… back seat, etc.

ParticipantWhat’s with the celly attached to the tripod? Nice shot of 4P.
That’s a Kodak Playsport Zx3 – waterproof 1080P video camera. If a storm rolled in, I planned on recording video as well as my stills.
(I had it set for 720P, 60 frames per second…)

ParticipantI hate to argue, as you’re probably right – but any of the Russian T/S lenses do the same thing. It just indicates that the camera doesn’t know what’s there.

ParticipantThey might work very well to hold a battery and an inverter… for portable power.

ParticipantExcept there’s blur at the bottom and top. A t/s lens at neutral/no tilt would be clear across the field with no blur or distortion. A Lensbaby has kind of a conical pattern where the central portion of the field is actually pretty sharp on the 2.0 or higher versions while the edges are distorted all around the image circle. And if you stop down, the area of distortion will be less.
I’ve seen that pattern on some of the Russian T/S lenses as well – they’re not as optically perfect as the “regular” Nikon and Canon T/S, and nowhere near what you’d expect from a good field camera with completely adjustable movements.
I know a couple of guys who use them.
But you’re probably right. I haven’t played with a Lensbaby 2.0 at all, and the first-gen stuff was very obviously a Lensbaby just by eyeballing it.

ParticipantLooks too clear for a Lensbaby, Elsinore. I was betting on a tilt-shift lens.

ParticipantEffin’ rain is so hard to photograph. And even harder to photograph in an interesting way.
Individual drops, maybe – I’ve never had much trouble with the distant “streamers” coming off of our thunderheads. The lightning typically illuminates those pretty nicely.
