ParticipantSo youre trying to just keep the color of one object, not just one color right? The only way that I know of to do that would be to select the object that you want and then reduce the saturation on everything else.
linguine
ParticipantGimp is free and can do a selective colorization by going into hue-saturation under color tools and reducing the saturation of the colors you dont want.(there may be a better way to do this but thats just the way i had figured out how to do it quickly)

ParticipantIts on its way, sorry about the delay in sending it. I forgot about it with thanksgiving and then was really busy with work when I remembered it again.

ParticipantI just played around with the settings and looked at what other people were doing in the qtpfsgui group on flickr because a bunch of them share the setting they used in the description: http://www.flickr.com/groups/qtpfsgui/
Ive mostly used durand and reinhard 2 but I know a couple others are good at doing realistic pictures as opposed to fatal which often overblows the saturation.(I think mantituk is pretty realistic but I havent used it much yet)linguine
ParticipantIf Uranus doesnt send me his address soon who wants it next?

ParticipantI used gimp too last year, but it doesnt include tonemapping so it looks a little different. Heres one I did using gimp:

ParticipantId say if the goal of limiting the use of digital manipulation to keep it similar to what can be done on film and in a darkroom Id say that digital cross-processing is fine since its just emulating something that is done with film.

Participantk, pm me your address and we can give the european farktographers a turn, theres 8 or 9 shots left on the camera still(i wasted 1 when i was pushing in on the trigger instead of down on it trying to figure out how it worked)
linguine
ParticipantIm done with the farkamera for whoever wants it next.
linguine
ParticipantThe free version of flickr worked fine for me with fark before I upgraded. The only differences Ive noticed is the unlimited uploads, larger size pictures I can upload, having more sets and being able to form collections.
