ParticipantI have a d50(28-80 lense) with me, its outdoor so Im not too worried about lighting, although Ill probably take an old flash along just in case I need to shoot inside.

ParticipantI think this could be a lot of fun. If we’re worried about first place not being a great o for a photoshop contest would it be possible to let the photoshop mods(are there photoshop mods?) pick from the top 3 or 5 entries in case first place wouldnt make a good o. I think changing the entry limit to 2 sets of 2 pics would probably be a good idea as well just to keep it from getting too long.

ParticipantIf no one else is claiming it could I get it if its still in maryland?

ParticipantThe average review of this lens on ritzs website was actually 4.5 out of 5, but it was only 2 reviews so I figured it would be better to look for more reviews than just go off 2 ratings.

ParticipantIve got the Nikkor 28-80, there was a sale with that lens instead of the 18-55, so I was mostly looking for something a little wider that would be better for close ups. But after reading around some more its looking like its probably a good idea to stay away from Quantary lenses.

ParticipantIve never really liked the anything goes rule for in camera effects because Ive never really seen the difference between digitially manipulating an image with software thats included in the camera vs digitally manipulating an image once its on the computer. If youre not allowed to do something like changing every color in a picture to black and white with the exception of one color using software on your computer then why are you allowed to do this with software in your camera. I personally have no problem with people doing this technique, just think it would be a good idea to limit how much a photo can be manipulated in camera similar to the limitations that we have for manipulating a photo on a computer.
