A tractor is a vehicle right? Like say a front end loader or the old ford tractor I have used before?

Created my Links page today: http://yugoboy99.blogspot.com/p/links-to-friends-and-more.html

Let me know if changes need to be made or if you want your comment to be changed in some way (I’ve made a 1-2 sentence complimentary comment for everyone on this page, even if I don’t know you well)

Well thank you for the compliment about my Flickr page. I need to get back to taking more pictures and now that I have my new carbon fiber tripod I will be on my days off at least. Nice looking site you got set up there.

Please don’t feel bad that I didn’t enter this week Z_E. It’s my fault for not buying some album covers back when I first voted for this one. The second hand shops in northern Cali were way better stocked with albums than the dinky little town I moved to here in Nevada. And on top of that I procrastinated when my printer still had ink in it. Although I would have maybe gotten 2 or 3 copies of album covers before it went dry. I hope this gets done again some time in the future so I can give it my full attention next time.

Well I don’t really feel like I am up to the standards you all have been showing lately considering how crappy I have done in most of the recent contests lately but my Flickr Page is http://www.flickr.com/photos/lokisbongs-pictures/

Well I am out for this week. I have not had time to go looking for record or cd covers and my freakin printer is out of ink so I am unable to do even one for this week. I should have some stuff for the rust theme at least.

Sounds like fun to me. My cameras are all Canons since you mention it. I’m loving the high desert life in Tonopah Nv to answer the where question. Now that I have a job I should be able to take a paid vacation some time next year. And I am thinking that would be a fun idea to head to your area. There are a few things in that area I want to see if I remember right. like on the way there or back I would have to stop at meteor crater for certain.

I seem to gravitate towards Nature pics when not shooting for a theme. I have tons of pictures of lizards and other wildlife like ground squirrels, antelope(well not very many of those yet) and spiders. The spikier a bush is the more likely I am to point a camera at it. Cactus and Yucca definitely get a lot of my focus. Want to get into astrophotography some day but to do that right takes more money than I can spend right now.

I’ve been looking at this the last couple of days. http://www.adorama.com/DOZX600B300.html Seems like it would be just what I need. I don’t really need the super short legs when collapsed and this thing is pretty light compared to my old busted one that was really made for video cameras.

Damn. At that price, it’s a steal… It’s about a third of the weight of my aluminum tripod for the same height and load capacity. You may or may not end up wanting a different head, though… Ball heads are, uhh, unique. some people swear by them, some hate them. Personally, I think they have their place but I don’t go out of my way for one.

/random, similar topic, don’t feel like searching right now: Anyone know of a motorized GEM for a standard (3/8-18 ) or half-inch tripod that’ll mount directly to an slr?

I have never seen a ball head in person so it will be a learning experience. I would prefer to play with what ever I get in advance but the nearest camera shop is probably Vegas or Reno. So close to 240 miles either way

I wasn’t complaining about having a job just that something aways seems to get between me and solar eclipses. I plan on going out if at all possible. I even have a cheesy eclipse viewer filter thing sold by our local astronomical society.
