Participantennui That’s hilarious, but only because I feel your pain =/
On the Cowboy Studio triggers – are you talking about the wireless strobe/flash units? I’ve got one and it works pretty well – with the caveat that I haven’t played with the hot shoe at all. Just as a master strobe trigger (the other strobe slaves off the first, but I’ll eventually get a second receiver).

ParticipantHow about ‘Bokeh: Here’s some pics and the Wikipedia article. YOU figure it out’.
😀

ParticipantI went through and looked at a lot of sites, and ended up going through Mpix – if you download their software you can design the back side the way you want with website and whatnot.
I know you’re thinking bulk, but most of the sites I found that do that want 300pc orders and the like – per postcard. Mpix is about $16-19 for 25 cards -depending on size- so you could offer a range for your $100. And the quality is suitable for framing (which people seem to do around here. Some local vendors even do a mini-mat with cardstock for their postcard prints).
/plus, you backprint with your website and maybe contact info, and it’s like a business card that people want to pay for, right? 😀

ParticipantBring a crapload of business cards, and you know what seems to move around here – based on what I see people buying from the folks doing local events? Postcards at $3-$5 a pop.

ParticipantI bet now is a good time to get plane tickets there =/
I’ve no real bees tonight- they’d all be alternate takes on the East Gate or the Slinky shots.

ParticipantNo worries. I do that all.the.time =P

ParticipantYugoboy They’re talking about fitting the theme for the contest – as a general rule pretty much anything that can be done ‘in camera’ is kosher.

ParticipantThat’s not a bad idea, really. A simple ‘no pets, no invertebrates’ would probably do.

ParticipantMy brother lives near Lawton, so I understand completely.
Looks like fun though 🙂 I totally want to shoot that mini-gun. Dayum.

ParticipantThanks 🙂 And yeah, that’s something Kat and I cobbled together late last year. I recently decided that I should really start changing over the watermarks, so I can post slightly larger images in various places.

ParticipantOkay, that was pretty awesome. I cringed a few times though.

ParticipantAmphibians are cool, though, right? I’m thinking about using this one: https://plus.google.com/photos/113330053950020592701/albums/posts/5631668674755023986
That link takes me to a wall of photos, none of which had an amphibian that I could see at first glance. But, as long as it’s not a pet frog (or otherwise named “hopkin green frog” ;)), I think it’s fine.
Huh. It pops to the picture for me. But good to know. ‘Twas a toad that wandered across our patio recently.

/direct link may do better =P -
