Wow–Choc-Ful-A–nice!! There’s a lot of really good ones, actually. Plamadude‘s opera theatre, sleeping‘s mail, millera9‘s skylight and stadium seats among them. It’s going to be a good race!

I routinely post at 160-190kbish; usually not a problem so long as in ‘preview’ it takes it (most always does–I think the host-serving ‘flickr’ type sites present the ‘fuzzy’ factor; can’t be sure though).

Purple resized (128kb) looks okay. But I still take issue over the control part, so I’d just as soon wait for Kes to correct it (and hey, she might take a shot she likes even better tonight, and will thank us in the morning for not posting a 3rd!).

Kes, I’ll gladly take the above image offline if you wish.

I thought about that; I could do that stuff. I did do that stuff–then I thought that’s overstepping, as it doesn’t allow Kes control of her own image. So I refreshed/redisplayed without posting. *sigh*

Her image as I ‘save for web’d it (195kb):

Yep, Fark does not recognize Flickr’s “rotate” – so FYI Flickrers, don’t use it!

Oh, the delicious irony. In a contest that features order, we have complete chaos!

It is delicious, but there is order within chaos, of course.

Your patio table ‘fish nets’ floor me. I’m giggling still. If humor can win this theme, you’ve cinched it.

//no, I’ve *never* owned a pair of fish net stockings. With webbing so loosely spaced. In black. Without matching heels.

//love to help, and Orionid‘s made it easy, but for Kestrana I’d have to finger out flickr’s posting picadillios, and I have no interest in learning them at this time, so I’ll respectfully decline to do either so I don’t show favoritism.

Congrat’s U-man–it’s an awesome shot, and it’s interesting to learn that Uranus can shoot mist….

    j/k–congrat’s Ur-ah-nus on a well deserved 2nd place!

I did the math in july or august and came up with 53 weeks until ultra. The problem is that the calculations start with your boobies, and mine was about a year and a half before I started posting regularly.

I’m not sure if the ’10 minumum’ is accrued into the score; if not, you’re approx. correct, if it is, then I am. 6 of 1,…

might be a bit hard to tote.

In it’s current configuration, yes. But I’d be willing to either 1)try or 2)deal with the vantage and build on a studio apt.

I’ve only had two camera-plane experiences since the TSA. One was a trip to New York, and I asked that the camera be inspected manually (I let the lenses go through the x-ray.) I brought the manual and had the page marked where it specifically said to have the camera inspected manually at the airport. They were not happy, they said it would take a while, but having the advantage of arriving plenty early and sitting down to open a book to read while I wait convinced them I had all day, so they took care of me promptly as they realized my feathers weren’t going to get ruffled.

The other time I tenderly, lovingly packed my gear in my luggage, then sufficiently padded around it with every article of clothing I had available (which is no guarantee it wouldn’t get x-rayed, but I was in a hurry that time.)

I’ve no experience with film. But given the smallest USPS box is $4.95 for 2-3 day delivery, I’d just mail it if it were me in your shoes.

I just went into and read the FAQ’s out of curiosity. Then I dids the maths. I was having trouble sleeping. I’m better rested now–did I do it right?

Orionid, do you realize you have $1.49 on U-Man in the last 10 bouts? It’s like that face-off movie, with you know, John Travolta and that ugly guy–you’ve transmorigraphide yourselves, even. I keep hearing Rod Serling calling, ‘The next stop!’.

//at what point do you become an ‘ultra’ photographer?

“10 + (2* contests) criteria” applies. ’10’ being the minimum # of pictures you’ve posted (well met), and ‘2* contests’ being the total number of pictures posted overall vs. the number of contests since you started; average two pictures each contest–and win a prize!

So you currently need 374 pictures to your 182 contest opportunities. Each week you post 3 images, you gain on that ‘2*contest’ by 50%. At this rate, posting 3 pictures each week, you’ll gain a +1 overall to your character skills weekly, and will be ‘ultra’ in 7 weeks time. Charles Atlas would be proud.

That thing is huge. Very cool pix.

    That’s what she said.

😆 I damned near posted the same thing to your “I always come too soon. I’m there now” bit in the LV thread.
