Participant[cd], I like the action snow shots; as such I’d have used the ‘b’ with the snowball having hit him, with snow still in the air, vs. the one on the sled. The other two choices I think were best.

ParticipantI am having my problems tonight!
Happens to the best of us–no worries! How’s the Mr. Mopsy doing?
ravnostic
Participant..you mean there’s others? Dear God, it’s a slippery slope!!

ParticipantAre any here waaay better than the ones over there? (if we could figure that out we’d…well, have it figured out)

http://photos.imageevent.com/ulle17/fark/Snow_9665a.jpgI’d say the glove shot for the humor factor–but don’t ask me with which one to replace it! Love the lens flare in the tubing shot, the snow angel is just too cute, and the snowflake too masterful. Good luck with that!

ParticipantI have many bees…and a feeling that I’ll choose wrong. 🙂
Is there one among us who doesn’t go through this, weekly? I have three b’s to share (which ain’t bad for a guy living in Phoenix):

That’s pretty much the reaction I was expecting from you, Rav.
I aim to satisfy expectations, always.
//does the one in the center do the same?

Participant….better than the frost on a frozen TV dinner…. LOL
True story, too. Don’t know if this will post correctly as I’m copying it from my FB acct:

This is the frost sheet over the mashed potatoes in a Banquet brand salsbury steak dinner. Unveiled, per instructions, the plastic over the potatoes and thought to photograph it. Used the Darlot macro and 28-80mm Tamron, set to 80mm. B/W’d it, some curve/contrast adj., but the graininess comes from the 1600 ISO, which in a Canon xTi, isn’t anything special.

ParticipantAh, Arizona winters-even the snow up in the mountains is pitiful. I may have one newly taken entry, though. I just hope the voters have a good sense of humor. Next year I’ll be in pretty much the only place in the U.S. I can think of where winter weather is going to be even HARDER to come by.
You’d almost think I didn’t like the cold!
There is snow in HI, on Mauna Loa.
My field trip up north was a success, I have entries that I can post with honor, though they may not stand up to everyone else who has had snow all winter. At least it’s better than the frost on a frozen TV dinner…

ParticipantThank God it’s snowing 1.5 hours away from me as I type! Looks like I’ll be driving up north in the morning. Things better be photogenic, dammit!! Maybe I’ll have something decent to post after all!!

ParticipantWow–she’s beautiful! Lucky sailor.

ParticipantIf we rent a car, ravnostic, Plamadude30k and caradoc are going to insist we come visit 😛
This. But it’s only a suggestion. I wouldn’t hold a gun to your head or anything, despite our state’s reputation.

ParticipantIntolerant Jerk‘s stuff is interesting. On the one hand, I’ve seen that with the right equipment ($cha ching$) this can be done. MY scope can do it, technically (had I the equipment enhancifiers.)
On the same hand, his last such picture got dq’d, for stacking (which he readily admitted to, and provided shot and filter details). So maybe he (she?) has such toys.
On the other hand…
I’d like to know of what the image is; location, common name, etc. A little perspective, perhaps.

ParticipantAs expected, I’m totally outclassed–super nice work from everyone! Esp. like kashari‘s horses, BISO‘s lunar eclipse image, and CD‘s kid-throwing-into-snow (because that just looks like too much fun–oh, to be a kid again!!)

ParticipantI’d post my b’s, but I just finished my last shot for the contest and I don’t have time to resize and such. Later, maybe.
