Tuitti fruitti is way to gay for me. It’s all about standards. Low may they be, I DO have some (one or two, anyway.) Ditto for Judy Garland and her hack of a daughter.

What’s with the celly attached to the tripod? Nice shot of 4P.

So, (as seems to always be the case), some clarification here, please. Must I BE in the passenger seat to take the photo? Can I secure my tripod setup within the confines of the passenger space and use the remote cable to take the shot (not withstanding composition difficulties this might present, I mean–hey, it’s none of your business what I’m doing at 70mph behind the wheel!!!*)?

*This is in no way an endorsement or suggestion that anyone do anything so stupid as to compose or take a shot while driving a motorized vehicle containing a passenger seat suited up with a camera and/or a tripod. Question is for rhetorical purposes only, your results may vary. Warning: contents may be hot. Incidently, I only have two pet peeves; size queens and little dicks. Okay, I just put that in there to see if anyone actually reads ‘tiny’ font blurbs. I’m only kidding about the size queen comment. But not the little dick one.

I found another link that said the K-22 was designed for, but never used for, recon photography. 9×9″ negatives on the k-22, said it. No e-bay history, though (closest was for a 24″ cone, and it only went for $30).

Oh well, the pair only set me back $20. I’ll find a use for them. They are lovely little boxes.

Got another lovely little wood box that I believe I’ll use for telescope stuff. Solid wood, even (pine, but still; dovetailed joints, etc). Too small for camera stuff, but the top compartment would hold all my telescope lenses and such nicely, with the bottom for other misc. things. $10. Busiest estate sale I’d ever been too; I was there an hour early and there were 30 ahead of me; by the time they opened up, another 60 behind.

    Of course; that’s a given.

    What’s a lens cone?

It’s really to bad they don’t make vinyl anymore; they’d be perfect for some LP’s.

Another estate sale today; ‘vintage cameras’ listed. 😉 I’ll be there. This hobby is highly addictive. Cameras are the new crack. (Looks like a nice tripod in the mix, but no pictures of cameras; just have to go see. Dead guy was a pharmacist; lot’s of vintage glass that I’ll probably pick up.)

I had a nice image (really, nicer than anything I posted this week) of what looks like raindrops in a pool of water, but in actuality is water dripping down into the pool from a small stream at Tonto Natural Bridge. I opted not to use it for just the reasons above. Ghetto may my shots be, they felt better to post. But that’s just me.

Also, I thought photos had to include real rain and/or its aftermath and/or buildup?

Me, too, or I would have had better shots to put up. (Jealousy to caradoc‘s evening session tonight. BOL!)

OrionidThat biggun’ of the Hawaiian rainbow rocks. Can just make out the secondary.

    Well, off to work. *sigh*

I have been to the archives:

    And the archives suck.

Damn near tempted not to post a thing.

caradoc given that I start work at 6pm, not likely I’ll have anything better.

I am stuck with all archive stuff this week I have one I know is worth using. Not sure about more than that.

Me, too. I was *hoping* our 10% chance of rain today resulted in opportunity, but as usual, not so much in Az.

It’ll be a weak show from me.

phuqin’ beetles. The only good thing they ever did was the White album.

I’m just happy I bested my highest total number of votes in a contest by 50%. Progress, not perfection, as the addicts say. Farktography Anonymous, here I come. (won’t happen again next week; have to go with the ghetto archive for rain x 2 go away. Damned desert!!)

Kestrana’s picture is loverly. There were a lot of great shots this week and as such, I’m not at all disappointed at my ranks among them.

Also, if you’ve never been, go to http://www.saratogaskies.com/articles/cookbook/index.html. Great resource for starting out in astrophotography.

    I get a 404 on this. 😥

(nevermind; got there the hard way.)
