ParticipantSee, when I think HDR, I think of the details you can bring out of the darkness.

Participantwhich camera do you have? I think the canons only adjust ISO for you in the totally auto modes.
I don’t know if there’s more benefit to taking more shots or not. I would think so, but I don’t know for sure.
these are all about 9 shots combined.

ParticipantOr you can shoot in aperture priority, where you initially set the depth of the scene and then adjust the exposure compensation to get the various exposures needed. That’s what I do for HDR, shooting from -2 to +2 in 1/3 stop increments.

ParticipantI shoot everything in RAW, but don’t do HDR until the images are converted to jpeg.
I don’t know that I’d worry about white balance so much, but then when you shoot in RAW, it’s really irrelevant.
How would ISO not be locked? Does your camera adjust it without your input?

ParticipantI kinda like the sensation of the tongue on the 9-volt battery.
But then in 12th grade science class, I got electrocuted pretty good with an old telephone generator and liked that, too.
I think there are websites that cater to that interest. =p
Of this I am aware.

ParticipantI am not sure I have done this correctly – my first try…I do other groups but the method is different- my interests are primarily urban and urban decay
SueDid you post that in the fark.com thread? That’s where the actual contest is:

ParticipantIt just now occurred to me that glaciers have a terminal end.
I’ve got some airport photos that I love that I want to use, but just throwing that out there for anybody else.

Participantawesome, I’ve been wanting an HDR theme.
Might we be seeing the ruins?
quite possibly.

Participantthat’s really cool. What are you using to stitch them? I tried doing a large pano of the glacier earlier today, but I didn’t think to set the exposure to manual, so there was a lot of variance in the shot.

ParticipantIs anyone else’s image host taking a beating tonight, or am I just lucky?

ParticipantAh.
We had a thin lopey black bear run across the street in front of us tonight.
