ParticipantThis is a bit random, but this just popped into my head for some reason.
The title of the bokeh classic should be “Bokeh II – Electric Bokehloo”.
That is all.March 2, 2011 at 3:11 am #15961lokisbong
ParticipantNice! I will agree with that.

ParticipantSpring Cleaning 2011!
– 7 vote themes were removed from the hopper. They will be re-added if they reach the new critical mass threshold.
– All 7 vote theme suggestion threads were bumped asking for more votes
– Expiration dates added to all themes. You can add your own expiration when suggesting if you wish or I’ll do it when I see the thread.
– First post of each thread updated with a status message showing either theme is hoppered or theme has an expiration date
– Themes prior to Jan 2011 removed (unless hoppered)
– Theme threads will be deleted when theme expires or is scheduled
– Removed Instant Classics hopper since classics are treated same as other themes
– Added “How to Win Friends and Influence Theme Choices” thread explaining changesApril 13, 2011 at 9:52 pm #15911linguine
ParticipantIs it possible to close threads rather than deleting them in case people ever want to go back through old theme suggestions. I’d suggest at least keeping the theme threads for anything thats been added to the hopper because we’ve had to go back to those to remember what had been decided earlier for past constests.

ParticipantI kept all the threads for hoppered themes (except Urban Art, that one got deleted by accident because it was hoppered almost a year ago). I could close rather than delete them but I didn’t see much use in keeping them. I went through about 60 threads earlier today looking to see what vital information would be missed if I deleted them and there was generally little more than the voting consensus or theme clarification – most of the discussion and decision making takes place in the schedule forum. But if more people would rather close than delete them that’s what we’ll do (although I dont think we can bring back the ones that got deleted already).

KeymasterYeah deleted threads are gone daddy gone at this point. I’m torn on deleting vs closing. I tend toward keeping, but I’m an admitted packrat. Maybe we could archive them (there is a way to do that–we could archive them off into another board for posterity, but it would clear it out of this one). Let me look into that.

Guess I shouldve actually looked around to see what was left.

ParticipantSure. I probably should have asked before just deleting them but since 90% of them had no activity for over 6 months I didn’t think we were going to miss them and I don’t like 14 pages of dead threads. Mea culpa.

KeymasterAh no activity for 6 months but keeping the hoppered/scheduled ones sounds fine.

ParticipantSpeaking of, since there’s been all this talk about the Hopper recently and themes and scheduling, any chance some more themes are going to be scheduled out? Yeah, I know, pushy pushy… Just like to know what’s coming up.

ParticipantI am in favor of keeping old threads. This way we can make fun of people for suggesting themes that are similar to other ones that were suggested three years ago!

Keymasterclouddancer: Yeah, I just wanted to see how the opinions played out as to what to do with the hopper and theme votes. I’ll be scheduling some more tonight.
NoBigDeal: lol!!
